Yeah I am behind on reading threads (there's probably 40+ still unread) and was way behind on watching a ton of sports (watching the 8 Hours of the Slovakia Ring on TV right now actually :d) and you know, some studying, so I kind of missed what started :p

Thanks man, I'll try and keep up now :d

Would you consider yourself a "completionist", having to keep up with everything? :d

I feel so ashamed...:red:

on a day like this, I think it would be better if I were just the average Italian, not even knowing about the existence of Ice Hockey...:yikes::cry::facepalm::zip:

I need a pause from my (supposed to be) favourite sport...I'm gonna spend a couple of hours with some Judo (Baku Grand Slam) and some women's Handball (women's Champions League)...:p

Heads up !

That´s only 1 match against a very good team, Early goal(s) for :SUI liberated them and killed the match, things like this happens in hockey. Next time it will be better, every match is different and every game start at 0-0.

:RUS team added to the official roster the CSKA Moscow forward Ivan Telegin.

So actually Russia has 23 players registred (3 Goalies - 6 defencers and 14 forwards) . so 2 spots left, one of them is reserved for The Colorado defencer Nikita Zadorov who is expected to arrive soon.

:CZE added to the roster today also Hynek Zohorna (yesterday was officially registred to the roster also his brother Tomáš Zohorna) Small problems occured about the arrival of the Dallas Stars center Radek Faksa, who did not complteley succeed in the exit medical tests in Dallas, the team finally decided to let him permission to play for :CZE at the Worlds but not earlier than from the 16th May and the match against Latvia.

    • It may also be that Ceccerelli saw that the conditions in the Italian youth teams were very poor and that is why she insisted on setting up her own team (the results of young Italian skiers unfortunately confirm this). A private team will always be better than a team with 10-12 skiers with max. 3-4 coaches, a one doctor and a physiotherapist. Colturi is the only skier in her team and she has several coaches, a masseur, a doctor etc. Of course, it costs money, but since the parents are famous and have money + Red Bull got involved. I don't understand why she can't start for Italy again? Red Bull should care more that Colturi starts in Cortina under the Italian flag than the Albanian one + Red Bull, as a brand, always has a bigger sales market in Italy with a population of 60 million than in small Albania. I hope that this can still be reversed by next year. For this we need talks between the federation + Colturi's parents + Red Bull + possibly the Italian Olympic Committee. Colturi may be a skier equal to Brignone or even better in the future. We can't lose her, so we have to do now!
    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
