19 players submited for :CZE  (2 Goalies, 7 defencers and 10 forwards) the Czechs received positive answers from the goalie Pavel Francouz, meaning surprisingly Jakub Kovář was send home today.

Also Radek Faksa will arrive from Dallas, meaning one of the forwards will not be able to play in the preliminary round. + there still chances for some NHLers to arrive later.

the team will probably add one player from the remaining 4 forwards (Hanzl, Tomášek or one of the Zohorna brothers) before tomorrows match against Sweden

I don't have any idea why they didn't register all 25 players in this roster...for sure we don't have anybody left (we don't have any NHL/AHL eligible player)...

even the official website of our NF does report the 25-man roster as the "official one" and does not mention any scratches...

maybe it's something related to a last-minute injury and our coach wants to see if they can be available in a few days or if they just can't play anymore in the next 2 weeks...but it's only my guess, there are no real news about that...:mumble:

    • Team Challenge   The theme for this years team challenge will be counties in the UK. For equal representation, I have selected at least 1 county for each of the 4 main countries that make up the UK. The 7 selected counties where drawn into each of the 7 teams.    The draw result:      Here is a little factfile on each of the 7 counties:    Team Merseyside Rank # Total 0 0 0 0 0 0   Merseyside is an English county located in the North West region of the UK.
