Toni Söderholm the :FIN coach of :GER annonuced today the full 25 players roster for the World Champs. He removed from the list the last 2 names to cut it to the final 25. Hard luck for the Ingolstadt blueliner Fabio Wagner and Fabio Pfohl the forward of Cologne who had to leave the team.

Germany will be able to count on the help of 3 NHLers this time with the brightest and strongest name being arguably Leon Draisaitl the Edmonton Oilers forward, the other 2 are Korbinian Holzer the Anaheim defencer and Dominik Kahun the Chicago forward. Behind the three mentioned NHLers we can find in the roster one player from the North American University league NCAA the talented Marc Michaelis.

All other spots are fulfilled only by players from the local domestic DEL league.

The reigning Olympic silver medalists played 7 preparation matches during last weeks with a record of 3 W - 4 L

They started the preparation in early April with wins in both home games against Slovakia 2-1 and 3-1, the 3rd win came against Austria 2 weeks ago also at home 5-1.

The 4 defeats: in both matches in Czech Republic to the hosts 4-5 and 4-5 the 2nd April weekend, the first match with Austria at home 2-3 and yesterday in the last test match before the departure to the world champs against one of the WCh top favorites USA 2-5.
