She won gold at under 18 level in the 200m. She *should* repeat in that here in Tallinn. She probably would have won the under 23s if she was allowed enter

I hope she lowers her won senior record too

Nope. Where do you get things like that from? Do you actually follow athletics?

You need to chill out. Why are you so angry all the time?

Adeleke’s best compares well with the winners of that competition. Maybe she’d win, maybe she wouldn’t have. I’d be confident she’d compete and beat those girls

its fine if you disagree but you asking everybody who disagrees with you have they ever watched sport is getting tiresome

If you are confident that she would win, then you obviously don’t follow athletics. Her PB is 22.91 with +0.1 m/s wind, Kaddari ran 22.64 with -0.4 m/s Wind in the same Stadium. MAYBE Adeleke could have competed for bronze, but that’s it.

Anyway, very dominating win.

Tzengko safely into the final as expected. It seems like she is our only medal hope left, unless Bouzakis sneaks a medal in the men's discus.

Deligianni 4th . Sad to see her miss out on a medal. Just 0.09 seconds separated 2nd from 4th, but she smashed her own U20NR from last year by over one second! So a very good sign and nice that we have a good young athlete in this event because we typically never do well in these middle/long distance events.

Sad that Chatzipourgani didn’t make the final, but good that she improved her SB by over a second and got a new PB (from 59.01 to 59.00, lol). Looks like her injuries are past her and hopefully at the World Championships next month she can do much better.

Kallimogianni 11th in the women’s 3000m steeplechase, very good considering she was the youngest athlete in the final. She’s just 16 so she’ll get another chance at this category in 2023. Who knows, maybe she can even win a medal then? It will be tough and the German girl who finished 5th will also be back (and I'm sure some other countries probably have good U18 girls coming up too), but it’s a good sign for Greece as we never do well in these distance events like I was saying.

Very disappointing that none of our three female shot putters made the final, and some of the others were a bit disappointing today too aside from Mortzakis in the men’s 10km walk who got a new PB.

    • I`m very disappointed with this weekend. Only becouse of Ghiotto form I`m happy. Unfortunately, the women's team will not function well if Lollobrigida skips most of the training camps and Fontana starts alternately in short tack and long track. It will end with her not winning any medals here or there, because it`s already clear that it will be very difficult to achieve good results in long track. I hope that she understands this, because in short track she has a real chance of winning medals in the women's relay and the mixed relay but in long track not.
    • Tragic performance of the Italian women's team - last place and probably something bad happened at the start. There are so few starts in the team that it will be a problem to even qualify for the World Championships - 8 best teams. After Lollobrigida's return and Fontana's addition, I was counting on much more, but it seems that there are too few joint trainings. With individual quality, we have no right to lose to the Czechs without Sablikova, or anonymous Korea. And unfortunately this start will count for a lot, because there are only 2 more and our chances of playing at the World Championships are minimal. In my opinion with Fontana going from Short Track to Long Trackand vice versa, we won't be much use in the team. Here great teamwork is needed, not improvisation. As of today, there is very little chance that we will qualify the women's team for the games.
    • men advanced to Division A for the first time since 2018 (when they went 1-8). Don't expect much progress next year
    • Ok, but there we are talking about a person who has parents from different countries. Colturi has nothing to do with Albania.
    • There are few people here from Austria, Switzerland, Norway and Finland.
    • The worst editions in XXI century for us were Vancouver: 5 medals (only 1 gold for Razzoli's on the penultimate day) and Sochi: 8 medals (but no gold). Turin was already a prelude to this bad period, although the number of gold medals was ok. Overall we won fewer medals at home than in 2002 and this was probably the only case in the 21st century when the host country won fewer medals at home than 4 years earlier, either in summer or winter. In general the years 2008-2016 were very bad in our sport, both in summer and winter. Only 2018 in Korea was a slight rebuild + 2 fantastic summer editions in Tokyo and Paris. in Beijing 2022 we won a lot of medals - 17 but only 2 gold (If it weren't for Gogga's injury, I think it would have been 4 gold).
    • Totallympics had  users at one point, but I haven't seen any hanging around in a while.
    • In terms of total medals, yes. In terms of golds, I’d be fine with anywhere from 6-8.   @intoronto you don’t think we’ll do better or at least the same? Bit surprising.
    • Tadeucci was very good and took bronze
    • On the Olympics I don't like to count golds to analyse the performance, I think the best data are the top8 and medals. In both fields I expect a big improvement (obviously not on the 'pure' number, but on the percentage of medal or top8 events)
