2 very early goals ended our winning streak. Congrats :GER for the win and the title in home tournament.

Sadly first lose of our NT this season, but all in all a very nice display of the youngs from our league in this tourney.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Hockey Federation (FHU) has temporarily suspended seven players of the national team and they can not start in any competitions.

According to the official website of the :UKR association, the reason for this decision was that the players left the national team on the eve of the start of the Euro Hockey Challenge in Budapest last week.  Six of them are Donbass Donetsk players. These are Filippo Pangelov-Yuldashev, Vitali Andreikov, Viktor Zakharov, Alexandr Peresunko, Nikita Butsenko and Ilia Korenchuk, the seventh Pavel Taran plays for Kramatorsk. HC Donbass's honorary president Boris Kolesnikov decided to dismiss the players from the national team. The only one who refused to leave the national team was Vitaly Lyalka, to whom the club terminated the contract a few days later.

    • Shades of 1998 with  and  in the same group but this time it's really a terrible draw for the Thistles. I recall Brazil and Scotland played in the same group in 1974 and 1990 too so that's quite a high probabiliy rate.

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
