So as per the 2026 programme, 

 

We will loose 3 Silvers & 2 bronze as Chess, Bridge & Roller sports won’t be part of the 2026 games.

 

Not bad , also they have added bowling in 2026 . How are we in Bowling at continental level? 
 

Events per sports is not yet decided, biggest problem for us would be if they remove team events from shooting.

Our largest ever contingent of 661 athletes returns with our biggest ever medal Tally. 
 

We have cemented our position as the 4 th most successful nation in Asia at these games. We aim for higher now & to get into that top 3 . 
 

Our sports ministry’s ambitious target is achieved & it will be interesting to see what target our sports ministry sets for the upcoming Olympic games

This is officially now our best ever games both in terms of overall medals & golds with still another 4 more days left .

Shekerbekova is the reigning Asian champion . What a result from Preeti, massive win . She should be targeting the Gold now. She has the ability.
2 Paris quotas & 2 confirmed medals in women’s boxing !  We have a good chance of qualifying a full team for Paris in Women’s boxing . 

 

If we can get 4 quotas out of 6 in AG that will be a big statement.

Big win in boxing by Parveen defeating the Chinese boxer at home. She has a tough draw but now she is just one match away from qualification & medal.

Unlucky India lost to Thailand 0-1 and out of the games.

 

 

Without any exposure they really played well.

I’m disappointed. They had a long camp, Dennerby was appointed & had a month’s camp with the team. 
Their draw was not bad & Thailand certainly were not better than us. 

Going out in group losing both matches & scoring just once is not really a good performance. 
They needed to convince the sports ministry & am not sure they did that. Won’t be surprised if ministry decides against sending the team for 2026 games.
