Competition Format

 

11 Nations, 3 Groups, the 1st Nation from each Group will qualify for the Main Round abd the 2nd Nation beteween the all Groups will qualfy for the Quartelfinals, the 3rd Nation from each Group will qualify for the Presidents's Cup

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
