Olympian1010 7,479 Posted January 30, 2021 #783 Share Posted January 30, 2021 Believe it or not, punting the car in front of you at the start earns you a penalty. “Sport has the power to change the world. Monzanator 3,598 Posted January 30, 2021 #784 Share Posted January 30, 2021 The first hour was total amateur clown show. Do these guys realize the race lasts 24 hours?

The trend in Endurance Racing as of late has been aggressive racing from the get go. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,479 Posted January 31, 2021 #786 Share Posted January 31, 2021 Man, this LMP3 class seems rather uncompetitive...3 of 7 cars left on the lead lap, and the leader continues to pull time out of the rest. Otherwise, there’s still a lot of good, close racing in the other classes. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Monzanator 3,598 Posted January 31, 2021 #787 Share Posted January 31, 2021 LMP3 is the new PC. Meh. Endurance racing doesn't need a "junior" class like that. It's just field filler whom nobody really cares about. Ligier should take the battle to Oreca in LMP2 and now it looks like both can dominate each class without much competition. It’s not like there’s a need for a privateer/amateur class in prototype either, since there’s already LMP2. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. The Dallara entered by Cetilar was pretty quick in qualification, but had some technical problems towards the end. If they manage to improve the reliability, I wouldn’t count out the Dallara in LMP2. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. I know that. Tell that to IMSA though. Ligier & Oreca should be in LMP2 and LMP3 should be scraped alltogether IMO. Bad news for @heywoodu #29 Racing Nederland is out and Rinus VeeKay didn't even turn a single lap. They crashed on the oil laid by #20 and suffered terminal gearbox problem.
