Swedish, German, Swiss domination on Day 1. They are the medal favorites, but I bet one of them will find a way to screw it up (hello Switzerland).

 

Nice (and fast!) Clear rounds for  Zvara and  Mytilineou.  Curious to see if they can keep this up.

Effectively a European B championship with all the Olympic horses missing. Shows the strength in depth for Sweden

But also a depth of horses that some of the top riders have. Meanwhile, the dressage Europeans will effectivelly be a replay of Tokyo.

Meanwhile, France, GB, Netherlands, Italy continue their string of poor results. As in, not even close to the team podium anymore.

Well, after years of disappointments and near-misses, Switzerland takes the team gold in Riesenbeck.

 

European Championships are turning into a bit of a redemption series at this point...
