So apparently Argentina lost its women's basketball match against Colombia because they went with the wrong uniform color (blue, instead of white). As they lost the first match, they're now eliminated.

Bolivia just can't get a gold medal at the Pan Ams, not even in Racquetball. I've lost all hope in a gold medal for Bolivia and Paraguay, and a medal at all for Aruba, for that matter (unless something crazy happens in sailing, or maybe even in swimming).

Just some random language fact: Benfeito sounds like "bem feito" in Portuguese. It can both mean "well done" or "serves you right". So, whenever Meaghan Benfeito appears, I immediately think about Meaghan Servesyouright. 
 
Talking about terrible sounding Canadian names, beach volleyball player Melissa Humana-Paredes also comes to mind. Humana is human in Portuguese and Paredes is Walls. It's like I see her as a human wall or something whenever she appears. At least in volleyball being a wall is kind of neat when blocking.

Honestly I find both the 5 Balls and the 3 Hoops + 4 Clubs events a little bit boring. No Ribbon this cycle is sad.

When things are this close, they would never not favour the home nation.
 

I know medicine is quite expensive in USA, ridiculous even, just like what you pay for fast food (that in comparison to other countries)
 
Well to put in context. The minimum wage approved by Mexican Congress for this year is around $5.25 USD a day, and there are millions of workers earning just that. A sad reality, that is the origin/result of other problems in a sad misery circle

With this I don't agree. While USA (mostly) and Canada doesn't send the best athletes in some sports, the competition still is interesting/enjoyable in many many events IMO. Also, we have Olympic tickets in many sports...
