In theory this could work but it doesn't matter. In 2026 we will have 48 teams and most definitely see more results like this one today.

Belgium and England have the top goalscorers so far. I kinda reminds me of the 2013 Confederations Cup when Fernando Torres was the top goalscorer thanks to his 4 goals in the Spain 10-0 win against Tahiti.
