and the portions they had on the tables, my God, the portions. whole baguettes and two different meals, + they ate bread (baguette) with everything, with everything. First time I saw this, I was like where the hell did I come ?

well no. difficult to explain, the Slavs usually have dinner sooner than the rest of the world, mainly because it is dark sooner outside , but later we still eat something here and ther snacks or so, but really about only some light food. well, to explain it, Evening and night here belong to alcohol rather than dinner.
