  1. Given those choices for candidates. I would be torn between Warren, Yang or Bloomberg.
  2. The two biggest struggles in the Democratic primary will be the “black vote” and the “young vote”. Mirrors what I’ve said. Around 60% generation is far-left. Not many people my age that vote republican, maybe 20-30% at this point. So this is actually a good depiction of the youth vote as a whole.
  3. I thought this might bring back some good memories @intoronto
  4. Yet another mass shooting today. This time it was Jersey City. Numbers still unclear. Police have confirmed “multiple people deceased (dead)” there were also at least 2 police officers shot and and 1 civilian shot.
  5. World Games are going to be fun for the US team...(assuming the women play this time)
  6. I’m going just pretend I didn’t see those, and have a quite chuckle; now I’m just going to move on.
  7. Kreisel’s are notoriously tricky, so if the entry if tough, that could be fun. It’s nice to see a kreisel again, but it’s not my favorite type of turn. I like the flat chicanes that feature at Konigsee, Pyeongchang, and Lake Placid. I like when drivers have to thread a thinner needle.
  8. Pyeongchang had three sections that were key: exit turn 2, turn 9 chicane, uphill stretch before final turn. I also saw people have problems quite often between turns 4/5. I loved the Pyeongchang track. Pyeongchang, Konigsee, and Whistler are my favorite tracks. The worst tracks are Innsbruck, Altenberg, Calgary, Winterberg, and Sochi. I think the area before the kreisel may be tricky, but it’s really hard to judge before seeing anyone run the track. I do fear Xiaohaituo will be an easy track based off the concept drawings, but I’m holding out hope for a fun challenge like Pyeongchang.
  9. Yeah even the International Deaf Sports Committee wasn’t sure about that. That’s why they downgraded it to a demonstration sport. To be fair, Chess can be played anytime of the year.
  10. Lynching also a touchy subject. That’s another whole debate right there. I agree though, we should give the teacher a fair chance to explain himself.
  11. You never know though. Pyeongchang didn’t look hard on paper. I do agree it would be nice to see some more variation though. Hear me out, two words: Double Kreisel. Also, long flat turn.
  12. Didn’t say we should be teaching little kids about the intricacies of slavery. Kids should get very basic facts about slavery in elementary school. Then explore the subject further in middle school and beyond.
  13. More tickets have been requested than are available for the Tokyo2020 Paralympic Games! What a great moment for the Paralympics. Next year could be a huge step forward for the games. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1088043/tokyo-2020-paralympic-tickets
  14. To be fair, not everyone can be a Konigsee, Whistler, or Lake Placid. There is only so much you can realistically do. Also having a track where the driving isn’t super difficult may be to China’s advantage. To me, the bottom half looks like it could be interesting. We won’t really know until we see the 2021 World Cup visits though.
  15. Construction has definitely started, I just couldn’t find any pictures of that yet.
  16. I can see that argument, but we just can’t talk about it that way as a nation yet. I (personally) think that teaching kids that people can be traded for goods, held captive, and teaching them to put a price on a human life is wrong, but I do understand the educational value of teaching kids that slavery was thing. I just think we teach that information without asking the question above. We need to teach that it was wrong, and the social, economic, and national impacts of the slave trade, and then move on. We don’t need ask kids to give a price to life (although that is the American way), or to dehumanize others.
  17. Here’s the 33 countries slated to participate:
  18. Chess will be a demonstration sport, not an official sport like I said before.
  19. Yet another scandal rocking a US federation.
  20. I thought about it after he suggested it, but it seems rather impossible. I do like the mass start, but I think one (technically two) races where it’s a direct race to the finish is enough.
  21. I don’t even know what to say about this one
  22. The FIL shared this image on their Instagram today. This track looks really cool. Without seeing the full run in a bobsled, it looks like a starters track to me, but I could be wrong. Either way, I think it will be a world class venue.
  23. Love being able to choose which camera I want to watch. I’d love to see something like this implemented in the Olympics.
  24. First time I’ve ever seen BMX Flatland broadcast at a multi-sports games.
  25. I’m all for the drama. This is just pointless drama in my opinion.
