  1. They beat France too, so or in the quarterfinals.
  2. Chia/Soh did it.
  3. Always amazing to see how after that long qualification round some shooters go 9/15 or 15/25 in decisive rounds.
  4. @Vic Liu Do you know why there are no Chinese men's doubles listed for the world championships?
  5. WTT Contender Tunis Finals Men's Singles Hugo Calderano BRA 4-1 FRA Alexis Lebrun Women's Singles Zhang Rui CHN 4-3 JPN Miwa Harimoto Men's Doubles Yuto Kizukuri/Tomokazu Harimoto JPN 3-2 CHN Zhao Zihao/Xue Fei Women's Doubles Kuai Man/Zhang Rui CHN 3-1 CHN He Zhuojia/Shi Xunyao Mixed Doubles Miwa Harimoto/Tomokazu Harimoto JPN 3-2 TPE Feng Yi-Hsin/Chen Szu-Yu
  6. Let's hope we'll get to see it on the Olympic programme after Paris and with more than 10 events but that's too much to ask right now.
  7. I thought there was one and made sure I didn't overlook it but apparently there isn't any yet.
  8. Is nobody commenting on how there's a Tour de France Femmes now and Lorena Wiebes won the first stage yesterday?
  9. Wayde van Niekerk won his Olympic title from Lane 8. The best find a way dealing with any kind of circumstance.
  10. WTT Feeder European Summer Series Finals Men's Singles Lin Shidong CHN 4-0 CHN Xiang Peng Women's Singles He Zhuojia CHN 4-2 JPN Honoka Hashimoto Men's Doubles Feng Yi-Hsin/Chen Chien-An TPE 3-1 CHN Lin Shidong/Xu Yingbin Women's Doubles Zhu Chengzhu/Lee Ho Ching HKG 3-2 KOR Lee Zi-on/Choi Hyo-joo Mixed Doubles Lin Shidong/Kuai Man CHN 3-0 KOR An Jae-hyun/Choi Hyo-joo WTT Champions European Summer Series Finals Men's Singles Tomokazu Harimoto JPN 4-3 CHN Lin Gaoyuan Women's Singles Wang Manyu CHN 4-2 CHN Wang Yidi Harimoto won from 0-3 behind against Lin.
  11. Women's Individual Sabre the only title missing. Same holds true for Italy in that event at world championships.
  12. However, France wins the table for the first time since 2007 (2008 non-Olympic WC excluded); most medals together with Italy!
  13. Yeah... not quite. Was close against Japan even.
  14. Women's sabre seems a bit more open now without Russians.
  15. Yes, there was Covid and the Olympics in between but imagine saying this. First Italian WC gold since 2018.
  16. WTT Star Contender European Summer Series Finals Men's Singles Wang Chuqin CHN 4-1 SWE Truls Möregårdh Women's Singles Wang Yidi CHN 4-1 CHN Sun Yingsha Men's Doubles Cho Daesong/Lee Sangsu KOR 3-2 CHN Liang Jingkun/Lin Gaoyuan Women's Doubles Sun Yingsha/Wang Manyu CHN 3-0 JPN Mima Ito/Hina Hayata Mixed Doubles Wang Chuqin/Wang Manyu CHN 3-2 JPN Tomokazu Harimoto/Hina Hayata
  17. WTT Star Contender European Summer Series Men's Singles Semifinals Ma Long - Wang Chuqin Truls Möregårdh - Liang Jingkun Women's Singles Semifinals Kasumi Ishikawa - Wang Yidi Wang Manyu - Sun Yingsha Men's Doubles Semifinals Liang Jingkun/Lin Gaoyuan - Paul Drinkhall/Liam Pitchford Cho Daesong/Lee Sangsu - Wang Chuqin/Ma Long Women's Doubles Semifinals Sun Yingsha/Wang Manyu - Sofia Polcanova/ Bernadette Szocs Lee Ho Ching /Chen Szu-Yu - Mima Uto/Hina Hayata Mixed Doubles Final Wang Chuqin/Wang Manyu - Tomokazu Harimoto/Hina Hayata In the singles, the Japanese and Koreans still crumble to China, even 2-1 up (it's best of 5 here). Bruna Takahashi almost made it into the semis but lost narrowly to Ishikawa 15-year old Félix Lebrun managed to take a game against Ma Long in the Round of 32.
  18. No Australia for some reason and I thought Italy would sweep the lifesaving golds but apparently not. Many questionable results in certain events.
  19. Well, Pudar's 200m Butterfly time would have been 8th place in Tokyo. Maybe she should focus on that event. It's probably the weakest among all the events right now (only 16 starters in Tokyo plus a DNS) but 2:08.92 does not look bad given her age. What so controversial about Merve Tuncel?
  20. Probably 2:2 after 65 minutes then again.
  21. Apparently the Women's 50m Butterfly at the European Juniors needed two swim-offs between Hollie Widdows and Emmy Preiter , which the French girl won by 0.08 in the end.
  22. That's very bad. They don't even award silver and bronze medals to semifinalists.
  23. I had to look twice if it was a WC or a EC but Crosbee winning his event cleared that up.
  24. Guess you'll see him in the final now.
