My French is very weak actually but I just love how L’Equipe covers this world cup. The best sports newspaper on the planet. In Poland we have Przegląd Sportowy , daily sports newspaper established in 1921. But now there is no Saturday edition anymore. And from 2023 there will be only Monday and Friday editions. I have a new L’Equipe on my phone even on Sundays… Eh, when I retire I will live in France I hope…

If we get a penalty today, I wonder if they let Lewandowski try it or someone else should do it. Tough decision to make.

A poll with Team Sports (or Team Events), involving some USSR, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia gold medal teams. For the purpose of these polls, USSR gold medals here will be counted for Russia (it looks like majority of team members were Russian), Czechoslovakia 1980 Football Gold will be counted for Czech Republic (I just can't get used to this brand new name Czechia ;-) and Yugoslavia 1960 Football Gold will be counted for Serbia (although this is the most debatable thing here, but looks like most players were from Serbia, although there were many from Croatia as well). Or - to be precise - if not majority were Serbians, there were more Serbian players than players from any other former Yugoslavian nation in the team (in water polo or handball winning teams from Yugoslavia it will be even more difficult to count).

Ok, I have an account in Club2024 now. What next?

I don't get it. How should I do it? :-)

Today I've done the most diffucult things at work for this week, next 2 days should be easier... So I'm finally starting to feel World Cup Hype now, because I take a week-off work for first 2 legs of group matches (half of them start during "office hours" before 4 p.m., so I wouldn't be able to follow them without vacation). It's not as good as olympics but still great fun. Vacation time!!!

Listening to your advice, I have just booked a trip to Paris for a week in June next year. That will be my personal "pre-olympic test event" :-) Getting around the city and see where are the venues and other things... Should be fun! Do you know when you can sign for tickets for the first time? Should be some kind of lottery, I guess.

I've got an e-mail informing that Eurosport Player will not be available here in Poland since December 15th. That's a shame. They proposed sth else instead (Eurosport available on internet platform called player.pl but I'm worried that it won't be as good as before. I'm worried because I used EPlayer a lot to watch Tokyo and Beijing Games "on demand", any event I wanted was available live or later on, that was awesome. And I hoped the same for Paris 2024, so I guess they will offer sth similar... And the winter season in starting and it was always good to watch it on EPlayer as well... Ehh... I wonder if EPlayer is going to be unavailable in other European countries as well??? I will create an account in this player.pl thing and see what it is, never used that before.

I have finished watching last apparatus finals and one more thing came to my mind... There is so much technical progress in the world, new advanced technologies, Man landed on the Moon and so on... But athletes numbers are still put on their clothes using SAFETY-PINS... :-) Will it ever change?
