I would also put Evan Dunfee in the racewalking events and the men's 4x100m relay as medal contenders too. Not expecting much from the decathletes this year. Lepage looks like he still isn't recovered from his injuries and Warner is 35 and only finished 6th at the Hypo-Meeting this year. Sutherland is also a wild card. She had a long NCAA season and didn't look great in her last diamond league appearance so who knows

Is there still going to be an open TISC this year?

One bronze medal overall is a bit disappointing but not surprising. Russia returning didn't help matters. Would've had a couple more medals otherwise. Ultimately, it's typically the 18 year olds that win the majority of the medals and the Canadian 2007 born class isn't is pretty weak overall. Ethan Ekk also didn't decide to compete and he surely would've been in contention for a few medals here. The 2008 class is pretty good but a lot of them weren't quote ready to contend for medals. Dawson and Kryger were the only swimmers that I thought would be in contention and unfortunately Dawson was either sick or injured for most of the meet so that didn't help. Not sure how the relays would fare but some 4th and 5th places aren't too bad. Even though she didn't medal, thought Clare Watson looked great and had nice time drops in all her events. Could be a contender for the next 100m butterflyer. Taghavi, Kim, and Sememyuk also had nice time drops in some of their events as well. Overall, I would expect next year at Pan Pacs to be better. Will be interesting to see if swimmers like Dawson and Kryger, who are good enough to make the senior team, would opt for the senior pan Pacs team or go for the chance to be a star at a junior pan Pacs on home soil.
