Exactly, if table tennis had the same rules, a full 2 or so out of 20 medals would be different indeed, massive (and about 3-4 or so the year before) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_European_Table_Tennis_Championships I kind of feel like in wrestling there is a significantly larger amount of Russians (Dagestani's mostly, I assume) in the top of the European levels than Asian players in table tennis (especially men's table tennis)

Yes, but I think a majority of viewers haven't been there Not saying it's bad, and in the case of Beijing, most were pretty recognizable as well. It's just that the main thing in the design should always be recognizability, far and away ahead of everything else, and especially some Summer Olympics seem to put that on the backseat in favour of making something 'unique'.

Considering the thing that matters for Trump is whether or not you are personally loyal to him, and not whatever you say about anything, who is left to still get some position? Tucker Carlson or something? I mean, if someone who is actively being investigated for underage sexual abuse and drug abuse (until he conveniently resigned so the report wouldn't be published just now) can be picked as AG, anything's possible

About the pictograms: I usually fail to see how they are tied to some city or country anyway, a slightly different line or font isn't going to make me think "Ah, Italy!" or "Yep, that's China!", so I am very happy with these ones They look super recognizable, especially for the Summer Olympics it's often a puzzle to connect every pictogram with a sport, here it's very clear

Meanwhile also Elon Musk ('Government Efficiency') and some FOX News guy (Defense) have been put forward as likely nominees for ministerial posts. For now at least, we know there's going to be a 4 year tombola with people being hired as 'the best ever' and fired as 'a big loser' depending on how long they openly stay loyal to Trump (his words basically, loyalty to him personally is more important than good government).

You mean in terms of live streams? Because the results page has been looking like it does now for a while already. Not a terrible update, for once, but not great: they used to have a blue M and pink W for men and women's events in the details page (like here FIS Cross-Country - Bruksvallarna (SWE) - Event Details), but that's now all the same color, which is rather annoying when trying to make one's schedule -

People saying Trump didn't actually win these elections are just as annoying and dumb as the people who said Trump actually won the 2020 elections, yes, we agree on that. I still have hope this time it won't turn into an attempted coup, though.

Lots of people do though. They may be unhappy with it, but I don't see anybody physically attacking the centre of power just yet. Four years ago, that's when we really saw people genuinely refusing to accept the result en masse. This time even the losing candidate, as they should, conceded shortly after the election. Which should obviously be normal, but last time that happened was already 8 years ago.
