  1. This can safely go here too, since it's a bit of a bombshell in terms of names (obviously not in terms of surprise).
  2. Oh my gosh. Such shock. Quelle surprise. "We all never saw this coming." Etc etc. Next thing you know water is wet.
  3. ISU, always ready to take our beloved sports and sledgehammer them straight to hell.
  4. I love how every single time one of these people wins a Grand Slam, everyone comes up with the 'Greatest Of All Time' debate again and literally every single time the GOAT 'has' to be one of Nadal, Federer, Djokovic Come on, how can tennis fans completely ignore a hundred years of tennis Besides: if three players in the same era dominate this much, one can also wonder whether instead of them being so great, the competition might be relatively weak.
  5. Too bad Eurosport doesn't have the rights or it could end up in Watts
  6. Nah thanks, it's more fun to watch it again
  7. I saw the first two seasons long ago and have been waiting FOREVER for season three to appear on Netflix, which apparently happened finally last month or so. Now it's been so long I'll have to watch the first two seasons again to remember who's who, but I know I very much like it
  8. Surprised the Aussies need his money
  9. Oh that is awesome
  10. And another podium for Marita Kramer I see, awesome
  11. Oh I haven't watched it, and have no idea if it's good or bad. Hence I'm definitely not writing it off, that's not at all what I meant (I've got a ton of other things I'm watching though, and adding yet another show in it is a bit much)
  12. Improving your (and your nation's) World Cup best from 21st to 6th in one go, now that's progress
  13. Haven't you grown used to his "xxx is arguably the best xxx of all-time" or "xxx is most likely among the best xxx ever" yet?
  14. Damn, that load on Kuonen's team (at 8:50 or so)
  15. Martin Haven: "Li has completed exactly five races, officially. One in Park City, two in Königssee and three in Innsbruck."
  16. Exactly the point I was trying to make, thanks
  17. Firefighter @hckosice doesn't like what you just said, good sir!
  18. Well that was awfully boring
  19. Well done, have a drink
  20. Noone has ever believed cyclo-cross will become a global sport and that's perfectly fine Not every sport needs to be Yeah Worst is generally a better sprinter, but for whatever reason she thought it was a good idea to take the lead for most of the deciding part of the race. Israel Cycling Academy tactics, as it's become known among Dutch cycling fans in the past few years, meaning: very bad tactics Dutch TV apparently even switched to their reporter who was 'live at the broken saddle pin, which was indeed broken!' (I watch it on Belgian TV, but there they mentioned it too from their live reporters)
  21. Three laps done, Iserbyt and Pidcock open the fight for second place, a minute behind Van der Poel.
  22. Two of seven laps done, Van der Poel is 45 seconds ahead of the chasing group (with Pidcock + all of Belgium basically)
  23. Aerts went too deep to try and follow, RIP race
  24. The men are underway, much to the surprise of nobody it's Van der Poel and Toon Aerts in the lead
  25. Marion Norbert Riberolle won a rather boring women's U23 race, where she dominated from start to finish. Interestingly, silver went to Hungarian Kata Blanka Vas, ahead of British Anna Kay. After some horribly shitty weather, the track has become very interesting and hard now, it's gonna be a major mud race for the men in a few minutes
