  1. Like Wierer isn't absolutely basking in the super mega amount of attention, if there was a bit less attention she'd immediately log in to Instagram to avoid going without attention for too long Carrara isn't on the Wierer/Vittozzi level, but being lapped seems a bit too pessimistic
  2. How about Vicenzino? She didn't make a full turn like the Romanians, but it was rather scary to see her motionless Apparently in the hospital they 'excluded' anything too bad, same thing with Grecu and the crashed athletes in the second run.
  3. That's a bit harsh I think. If I were a luger who had rather normal training runs without too many problems and I'd feel I could compete tomorrow, I wouldn't let yet another German-led decision change my plans (apart from cancellation obviously). If they're not going to cancel the races, it should be up to each luger whether or not they want to start. Whether or not they should cancel it is another discussion, considering all the problems - and the fact I've already got plenty of stuff to watch - I wouldn't be against it.
  4. Not only the Austrian team will boycott, the German doubles aren't going to start the race - none of them, Eggert/Benecken have even already left Winterberg. Felix Loch has also announced he won't be starting. Biggest victim of the training seems to be Stepan Fedorov, who broke a leg.
  5. You think you're toast? The Netherlands doesn't even test people coming back from a cruise ship that had infection(s?) on board
  6. Yeah Iran and Italy have been on fire today, both going from a handful to nearly 20 in a day. Not good at all.
  7. So then who goes to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan? I mean, somewhere there must be a source where all of this either starts or ends
  8. So half of Poland comes to the Netherlands to work and to fill up those positions in Poland half of Ukraine goes to Poland? I wonder who goes to Ukraine
  9. Pretty awesome new graphics and still they can't manage to show the positions at the intermediate times instead of only the time itself On the other hand: John Morgan is back
  10. The number of announced cases in Italy has almost been rising with the hour today
  11. Little late to the party because I could only find time to watch yesterday's races last night and today, but damn that Meråker stage was freaking beautiful And what a showing from Bolshunov, holy moses
  12. Duolingo all the way indeed.
  13. One shouldn't too easily 'ban' films 'because insensitive' anyway. That's censorship. Especially nowadays it's good to have an eye on how things were depicted in other times.
  14. Day 1 Aparjods and Aparjode The entire Ukrainian top team (best man, woman and doubles) Sochowicz Maag Ferlazzo Cretu Jung Slovak doubles Day 2 Aparjode again Ukrainian doubles again Nagler/Malleier twice (!) Jung again and again Korean doubles Triple DNS for all four German sleds Müller D Gleirscher followed by total DNS' of all Austrians Yeah those trainings were quite something
  15. At least in his original sport in which he might not be a star, but he's at least more capable than in canoeing
  16. Those people may be infected with that Brazilian yaravirus that only infects amoeba
  17. Not in this case It is when media misuses the terms all the time which sadly and annoyingly they do (at least here) by all the time going "the coronavirus this" and "the coronavirus that" instead of actually mentioning the virus and/or disease
  18. SARS was corona too
  19. And considering one can expect both Japan and South Korea to have a significantly better system in place in terms of things like testing, it's pretty easy to think things may be way worse in for example Thailand, which is one of the main countries for Chinese tourists - more so than Japan and especially South Korea, according to statistics.
  20. Preparation is key, lesson for life
  21. Wow, that is insane. Sounds like an excellent idea to change a system where theoretically all Democrats or Republicans could divide their votes between Robert Raccoon, James Jackrabbit and Tina Turtle (in the other party of course) and so try and increase the chance of getting a weak opponent.
  22. How would you define 'total democracy'? Everyone, including people who are members of an opposing party, could decide who another party nominates?
  23. I read somewhere they are building a highway there and there's quite a lot of Chinese workers working on it. Now obviously I think you might know more about that than most non-Iranians, so: any word on that?
  24. Now that's some preparation.
