  1. Meichi Narasaki throwing away his Olympic chances by the looks of it.
  2. Commentator: "Mawem might be looking at Khaibullin, he might finish ahead of him." HOW?! Mawem won't get any lower than 64 points (and most likely will end up higher), Khaibullin won't go any higher than 56 (since Megos won't compete and so with one hold, Khaibullin assures himself of 7th at least)
  3. I'd like to suggest the following video to the commentator:
  4. The lead in combined is so much better than the actual lead competition in terms of how ties are broken: simply based on the time in the final instead of results of previous rounds. So. Much. Better.
  5. Wow, unbelievable. People are fighting for their lives to even get to zones and Narasaki flashes the damn things or has enough with two attempts Top-3 on lead will 100% be enough for Tomoa, but since Khaibullin winning lead seems.....pretty unlikely, to say the least, top-4 is normally more than enough as well. Standings with lead to go (Megos is yellow - meaning finished - because sadly he had to withdraw with a finger injury after one boulder ):
  6. That's disappointing Just let Senegal or Mali or some other country sort of south of the Saraha but north of South Africa host it and you won't have a high enough number for the atmosphere (ok, not a significantly higher score for information and overall organization, but still, I prefer atmosphere )
  7. They could make it longer but the higher the wall has to be, the fewer venues can host it
  8. Now you missed an excellent chance for a Pita joke
  9. Finally I can watch some climbing live for the first time this year

  11. And it was fun to see her try, especially on boulder. I did feel a bit for her when everyone else failed to even get a zone on that last one and then she had to close it up and she looked like "what on earth am I supposed to do here?" Like I've said before, speed climbers doing boulder and lead reminds me of sprinters doing a 10k in speed skating
  12. Sagan promoting motorized bikes....yeah, great idea
  13. Wow, following Nonaka during the lead was a nailbiter She was behind Mori at some point, but then Garnbret topped faster than Mori, meaning they both fell back a position, which had a much larger influence on Mori's score...making Nonaka pass her. Noguchi putting herself in between them put Mori back in front of Nonaka...Coxsey saved the day for Nonaka.
  14. I hope they stay out of São Paulo next month
  15. Watching the women's combined final now, starting with the speed....and fuck! Nonaka missing out on the final due to a tiny slip at the very end
  16. And gold goes to.....Germany? I'm not paying attention, at all
  17. I'm always holding out a tiny bit of hope for an upset at championship marathons, weird stuff happens
  18. Well, one can not blame the Berlin Marathon for not moving their entire event and the WCH marathon could have been a month earlier without making much of a difference, since the top runners generally have several months between marathons, at least Besides, it never really feels like most top athletes care much for the WCH marathon anyway.
  19. Wow, how can a major champion and experienced climber like Ondra make such a bad mistake?
  20. Shaunae Miller-Uibo has decided to choose the 400m instead of the 200m. Too bad for Niger. Mostly though, too bad the schedule again is so ridiculous.
  21. Honestly, are you really surprised by that in any way?
  22. Yeah, Chad is an even better example To add to all that, most people will probably think you're cheering for some rando named Chad.
