  1. I'm surprised to read Duszniki only got upgraded to B in 2017. I've never been there, but @brunamoura told me it's a very good venue, I kinda thought they had at least B status for a while longer.
  2. Completely agree. I mean, this is really not what a regular civilian needs. The fuck. One can only hope they are just trolling with some props, but you know, 'Murica.
  3. Yay, insane violent idiots from one side against insane violent idiots from the other side, that's gonna be....quite something.
  4. On the Dutch website where I am the head of the sports section, we try to cover every medal event at the Olympics - obviously the main thing is to have at least every result of Dutch athletes mentioned. It works, but with a lot of hard work in those weeks...and that's for a group with roughly 10 people, one more active than the other. If it's just three people, don't even try it like that.. Free advice/suggestion for the Olympics: take the 'smaller' sports and make one combined article about all of the events. For example one article with all freestyle snowboarding events in it, or one with all the canoeing sprint in it, and so on. Saves work and stress.
  5. The golden girl was on TV though yesterday and looked happy
  6. I like how there's a special section for Rule 42. Is that the answer to everything?
  7. But...how? How does that happen...four consecutive times...to both boats?
  8. Too bad for Schempp and Lesser their decline came when Kühn and Nawrath made big steps. Pretty much impossible for them now to get back in the main team..
  9. The best race of the year, the Tropicale Amissa Bongo, has started today Stage-by-stage overview and a big preview (in Dutch, so use Google Translate) can be found here: https://forum.fok.nl/topic/2517159/3/25#p191089325 Awesome jerseys for Nigeria
  10. Live timing was utterly useless again, they really should just use some already in-place system for it. In a relay it makes zero sense to only show and compare the splits per 'section': comparing doubles only with the other doubles times so far, etc.
  11. Like just not watching it at all? While I agree with your point, it's the Olympics...we've got a billion other things we can watch that we do find interesting.
  12. India really shouldn't need this kind of juggling around to qualify a good number of athletes
  13. The luge relay could potentially be pretty interesting. Latvia has the best man. Germany has the best woman. Russia has the best doubles team.
  14. Stadlober still wakes up sweating at night every now and then.
  15. [hide] #66 Will there be a nation to win its first medal in Freestyle Skiing in Halfpipe? [Yes] #68 What will be the time difference between men's Monobob and women's Skeleton winners? (step - 0,5s) [1,5s] #69 How many nations will get at least one medal in Snowboard Cross individual events? (step - 1) [4] #70 Who will have the fastest leg of the men's singles part of Luge Team Relay? [Gints Berzins, LAT] [/hide]
  16. According to Dutch commentator Hans Christer Holund 'got lost' during the 15k interval start, anybody heard more about this?
  17. But he had every chance to go to the PDC
  18. Thing is, BDO does have a role. That role is just not to try and be the top level of darts... It's way more in making it easy for people to play, since that's way too expensive in the PDC.

  20. No matter how many athletes are in, two runs is definitely the only fair way to go. And if you're so desperate not to have two runs all the time, like FIS seems to be, do the exact opposite of what they've got now: one run in the first round and then switch to two runs.
  21. I guess the Dutch commentator was wrong when saying they had 'luck of the draw' (athletes on the blue course)
  22. I have no idea, but let's go with A because that seems to have the biggest chance of making sure at least everyone's favourite gets point(s).
