  1. A medal is definitely possible, although he will need a fantastic day. Then again, the Olympics is the moment to do that. I'd find it awesome if he manages to get one
  2. I'm going to keep some (probably naive) faith in humanity with that Jaack guy (top right), because that does sound very sarcastic. It might not be, but I prefer to believe it is meant sarcastically... As for the rest, go break your arms.
  3. Eurosport Player is absolutely worth it anyway, especially for the overall sports fan. I was a little skeptical at first, three years ago or so, but nowadays I wouldn't be able to watch what I watch without it I think here I pay 40 euro per year or so, but I'd pay double if it was necessary since I make use of it quite literally several hours per day..
  4. To be fair, if you want good quality, you should at some point be willing to pay a little (if possible, of course) Free is basically never as good as paid, even a cheap subscription can be fine for a month. You don't happen to have something like Norton antivirus? That has a VPN as well.
  5. Besides the men's 400m hurdles....the women's 5k? Because for once it's not really the Dream Mile this time.
  6. Korea must feel a little awkward there as only East-Asian nation
  7. Hard to tell, but at least for us on Totallympics I think it'd be great to share our streams and such (the legal ones) so we can get as much of a full picture of what we can watch as possible.
  8. So for football they can magically find extra quotas a few weeks before the Olympics?
  9. Where do you see an athlete from CAF? I can't find any in those rankings..
  10. That seems like a rightful punishment on one hand, but knowing the IOC, it seems highly unlikely they'll 'fix' the situation back into normality even if weightlifting ever gets fixed...
  11. Well yeah I know the Olympics are coming up, but still it feels cool that the forum is getting so busy and active basically 24/7 by now.
  12. To be entirely fair, the fact that it ended up in a horrible injury doesn't make it a foul. It's a foul because of his dangerous play. By now, everyone who has some knowledge about football (like referees, players and so on) who I've heard talking about it, agree that it was or might be a red card because of dangerous play (not all actual experts even agree that it was a red card), but not because of an attack on the leg. He went for the ball and got the ball, that is as clear as day when you actually watch the whole situation - and not only the one second where he ends up hitting the leg. Then before he could really react, Besedin was there and he had no way to stop anymore. Yes, his leg should not have been that high up with his foot forward, which makes the red card at the very least acceptable. No, he was not actively trying to attack anyone's leg.
  13. Only because in the case of football I generally think "Well how hard can it be, two places to fill in a number of goals"
  14. And damn, you're going to a theme park one day and even with marking all national threads and results threads as 'Read' there's 50+ threads to read up on...from one day! Totallympics really feels booming and brimming with activity
  15. Because of a technicality instead of being found innocent of what he's accused of. Doesn't change the end result, but still a rather important note.
  16. What an insane ride by Van der Poel, wow. Especially considering this was his longest time trial ever, he barely ever really trains time trial riding (no time in between being at the top of the world in three disciplines) and only recently he got a set of fast wheels they managed to buy from Cameron Wurf of all people. And Pogacar has thrown in the early decision
  17. "Probably just terribly wrong timing" doesn't really work there, maybe people will start believing it now
  18. 19. I thought predictions were for the 90 minutes
  20. Ukraine thanks Danielsson.
  21. Yet it was the first thing he hit
  22. Looking at it again, he did indeed go for (and get) the ball. Right, might not have been an attack straight on the leg, but it was indeed incredibly irresponsible and a rightful red card without a doubt.
  23. I'm not sure what's worse...the attack itself, or that reaction as if he didn't even touch him. Asshole.
  24. Wow, that was absolutely disgusting from Danielsson. And even reacting to that with a 'What did I do?!?!' gesture. Fuck off, that guy has nothing to do on a football field.
