  1. Luckily for Italy, if you're a woman and you have an Italian passport, you can do anything this season Moelgg 1, Bassino 2.
  2. Noooo Goggia So close..
  3. You mean Simari Birkner, apparently starting without ski's?
  4. Couple minutes ago, a rather big earthquake (7.5+) near Chile.
  5. 10 minutes ago, Anna Veith has announced she will start in Semmering in 2 days and make her comeback, finally
  6. Damn it, too late!
  7. One thing I'm interested in: are there more people who live in a country where Christmas is a thing, but who don't really have very specific traditions in their family? Like here: we do always get together on Christmas, but it's not like we always eat thing X or Y, or like we have activity Z or something. It's mostly like a regular family visit, just with a dinner included
  8. Happy Hannukah as well, just heard on TV that for the first time since 1978, it's on the same day as the day before Christmas starts
  9. There's no sports here on the 25th neither and as far as I know the same goes for the 26th, but I was talking in general about what I could watch I know there's English football on Boxing Day, but...yeah, club football.. (although that's the day we'll spend with family this time, so I'm sort of happy there's nothing big that day that I am missing out on)
  10. Anyone up for a game of pub darts on these empty days? http://pubdarts3d.com/flash/games/pub-darts-3d-multiplayer
  11. Ha, I noticed something was different, but couldn't quite put my finger on it
  12. By the way, Christmas here is 25 and 26 December, which are simply called 'First/Second Christmas Day' I believe the evening of 24 December is called 'Christmas evening' and some people have a large dinner with their family at home. Others don't, it's really all up to you, there is no absolute 'tradition' I just find it annoying that there's basically no sports at all for 3 days. Apart from some football, but who cares about club football.
  13. Merry Christmas/nice holidays and everything to you all too I doubt we'll really celebrate anything here since just yesterday we buried my grandma, so I have no idea how that's gonna go in the next few days (not in the most festive mood ever). Usually it's a matter of the family coming together in the house of someone (like this year my aunt, last year our house, next year maybe another uncle/aunt and so on), having some sort of dinner and a good time We don't really do the whole presents thing here, just sometimes here at home we put a present under the tree if we happened to come across something in a shop, but it's not an obligation or a tradition or something.
  14. Nobody at the IBU Cup in Martell and Slovak participation in Arber isn't sure yet? Come on, I gotta cheer for more than just the Brazilians
  15. At least that was right 4-0 4-0 4-0
  16. The sooner Gilding is kicked out, the better. What an incredibly annoying player.
  17. Jesus Christ monkey balls. What a level shown by Webster today.
  18. Webster is playing brilliant
  19. I'm hoping for good things from Cullen, but I'm expecting him to underperform after his incredible overperforming against Cadby
  20. This doesn't sound like the most exciting evening session ever.. My guesses: Whitlock 4-2, Anderson 4-1, Lewis 4-0.
  21. Yep, he said it on Dutch TV as soon as his match was over. We'll have to wait and see, his back has been a mess for ages and in the past days he was saying it was finally starting to get better. Maybe he'll consider a surgery (not even specifically to keep playing darts, but to be able to walk pain free), and then who knows what happens..
  22. Just in time back to the TV to see Vincent start his World Championships, after spending almost a week in the TV studio (well, on the evenings)
  23. Now you're exaggerating, events like the modern pentathlon or 50m rifle prone or something don't attracts billions of viewers and I highly doubt skateboarding will be much less popular than that. There will be people watching and I am fairly certain it won't be the least-viewed event of the Olympics, that's not the whole point at all. It's just more of an X-Games sport. About the commentators: if you can find commentators for the freestyle snowboarding kind of stuff, undoubtedly it won't be a problem for skateboarding neither. And not "some random guy" probably, but someone who actually knows what he's talking about probably.
  24. I'm from the 1990's and I'm not gonna watch It sounds just as exciting to me as freestyle snowboarding and skiing (halfpipe, slopestyle, big air, that kind of stuff): fun to watch and definitely a true sport, but with a place at the X-Games and not at the Olympics.
