  1. I still think Quintana is the main favourite by the way. Mollema thinks otherwise, saying Dumoulin is the main favourite now. At least it's always good to see a pure climber having to make up a whole bunch of time, usually that means one thing: attacks
  2. Yep, in the Tour it's always 25%, I guess here it's the same
  3. Oh, Quintana stays ahead of Mollema after all.
  4. And Mollema going to 2nd place in the GC behind Dumoulin, what a day
  5. Thibaut "I'm going to win" Pinot 1:42 minutes behind Dumoulin after 28km
  6. Christ on a bike, what on earth did Dumoulin have for breakfast
  7. Wow, Quintana does not have a good day
  8. Scrap everything I said about Pinot
  9. Pelucchi already 13 minutes behind No idea what that guy is doing in the pro peloton.
  10. That's exactly what I read in the best Dutch preview I read before every stage
  11. Campenaerts "Carlien, wanna date?" and then he rides off in a speed even I can easily keep up with That's a shame, he really could fight for a great result.
  12. Yeah I've been calling Dumoulin a non-GC rider ever since that Vuelta where he almost lucked to the win, including this entire Giro so far, but he sort of started to prove me wrong on Blockhaus (although the likes of Stelvio and Mortirolo are still a whole different ball game) I think the pink is going to Pinot today, but I don't think Quintana will be far behind. On a good day he has a very decent chance to get a top-10 and not lose much more than a minute or something.
  13. Ugh, again this talk about non-GC-riders having to save energy in today's Giro ITT Belgians are mad as fuck that LottoNL-Jumbo apparently won't let Victor Campenaerts go full-power, which would be a real shame since a top-5 is a very good possiblity for him given his ITT shape this year. I'm guessing they won't let Jos van Emden go full-power neither, so that's a shame, especially considering Kruijswijk is not in that much of a perfect position anymore. Besides, last year they let Roglic go at 100% (winning the stage) while Kruijswijk was at a better position than now.. I'm guessing Sky will do the same with Kiriyenka, so it'll be up to the GC riders for today mostly. Dumoulin, Jungels, Pinot, those guys. I'm going for Jungels as the winner, Pinot in 2nd, Dumoulin in 3rd.
  14. Nice win for Majka, beating Bennett in a bit of a dirty sprint (in which Majka was sort of sprinting on the line of the laws, while Bennett was sprinting like he has an IQ of -20 or his brains had shut off temporarily) Nasty fall for Tom Skujins by the way, who was in the lead group, after which he was completely lost. Unbelievable and incredibly irresponsible that his team let him get back on the bike (even cycling greats like Robbie McEwen immediately went on Twitter asking the Cannondale people to please get him off the bike). At least after a while he finally got off.
  15. Once again Kittel shows who is the best sprinter in the world
  16. Yep, I doubt he'll take all the sprints again I'm mostly really curious about Sam Oomen, 'our' next talented GC rider. Only 21 years old and so far this year 15th in Andalucia, 14th in Paris-Nice and 19th in Pais Vasco, I wonder what he can do in this field that just doesn't have a whole lot of fantastic GC riders.
  17. Tour of California starts today by the way In fact, stage 1 has gotten underway around half an hour ago. Without Axeon Hagens Berman, Axel Merckx's team, which is just as stupid as Androni not being in the Giro.
  18. Thank you, motorcyclist who decided to park his bike right on the side of the road in a place where, according to several riders, it was nearly impossible to avoid a crash. Obviously Kelderman was the first one to fall, because if there's a crash, Kelderman will join the party, but sadly it was nowhere near his fault this time plus he took some others out with him.. On the upside, Landa lost whole a lot of time and already showed some will to attack this Giro, so he might be up for a mighty ride on the Mortirolo/Stelvio stage
  19. My thoughts exactly It's sort of funny and sad for Feyenoord: if Ajax wins the Europa League, they sort of overshadow Feyenoord's historical title within 10 days
  20. Yep, Kuyt came back to Feyenoord to end the year-long drought with the dream of winning the championship The stadium exploded when he scored after 40 seconds (!) and again after 12 minutes Even more when he scored the 3-0 from a penalty, which really sealed the deal. The only sort of pathetic thing is the players and stadium singing "Helemaal niets, helemaal niets, helemaal niets in Amsterdam!", meaning "Absolutely nothing, absolutely nothing, absolutely nothing in Amsterdam!" (the city of Ajax, their eternal enemies)
  21. Rotterdam is pretty much exploding at the moment After 18 years, Feyenoord (one of the 'big 3' in the Netherlands) finally is the champion again on the very last day by winning at home, leading to the stadium and the big squares and everything sort of exploding Ajax was the other one that had a chance to take the title, but they needed Feyenoord to draw or lose.
  22. The whole country was living towards the Spanish GP (because of the Dutch sports history last year) and then it's over after one and a half corner
  23. Even never top-5
  24. I don't believe it was cocky at all. Maybe it was a little bit of an unfortunate choice of words, but let's face it, half the songs in the song contest are almost the same kind of thing (especially Sweden with their copy-paste pop songs). No need to have some politically correct "Yeah I'm so happy, thank you, but everyone was great!" kind of answer.
  25. Interesting to look at the odds (screenshot is from around 5 minutes before the first song started) and the results now that it's all done and dusted
