  1. Well yeah I'll eat my shoe if he wins today
  2. And who is in the attack.....? Kittel
  3. 20-year old Abdelhak Nouri of Ajax collapsed last Saturday during a friendly against Werder Bremen in Austria (which was live on TV). At first it looked like he sat down and maybe had troubles with the heat, but he stayed down, medical personall treated him for a long time (including CPR) before he was airlifted by helicopter to the Innsbruck hospital. The first messages Saturday and Sunday were that they were keeping him in an artificial coma, but he was out of serious danger. Moments ago though, Ajax published a statement saying Nouri has very serious and most likely permanent brain damage
  4. Fastest times on the Peyresourde: Vino and Mayo Quite a lot of 'fun' names on there
  5. [hide] Women's Doubles Semifinals British Summer Time (GMT +1) Date and Venue Athlete 1 T1 T2 Athlete 2 July 13th 2017, h. 6. Well he is riding for one of the most suspicious teams of all, but I doubt there's anything concrete
  7. Abdullah Hayayei of the United Arab Emirates died yesterday after a training accident, while training for the athletics world champs that start Friday https://www.paralympic.org/news/statement-uae-athlete-abdullah-hayayei
  8. [hide] Men's Singles Semifinals British Summer Time (GMT +1) Date and Venue Athlete 1 T1 T2 Athlete 2 July 14th 2017, h. 13:00, Centre Court, Wimbledon [24] Sam Querrey 1 3 Marin Cilic [7] July 14th 2017, h. TBD, Center Court, Wimbledon [3] Roger Federer 3 0 Tomas Berdych [11] [/hide]
  9. Sam Querrey of all places as GS winner, that would be awesome
  10. Only the 2nd retirment in almost 6 years for Djokovic...
  11. Born in Yugoslavia, so not a strange thought
  12. 'Cause of death: prediction contest troubles' I'm sure a judge would accept that as perfectly normal
  13. This time it's clear (if the rules say it's not allowed, it's not allowed, if the rules don't say anything, nobody can know so there can't be consequences about it, so good job to write it in the rules now )
  14. Well at least Groenewegen is closing in day after day, we might actually have a serious sprinter soon (after Tom Veelers who did a fantastic job replacing Kittel a few years ago)
  15. Katusha, Direct Energie, Lotto (both) riding for Kittel against Bodnar.
  16. Another fall for Degenkolb today, who just yesterday seemed to be in good strength
  17. Sure, but a big part of the best U18 athletes in the world is missing. Imagine the 1500m at the world champs without Makhloufi, Kiprop, Kiplagat etc....it's still a strong race, but definitely not great.
  18. Which is why this is of course a fun event to watch, but unfortunately nothing too serious.
  19. Rihanna - Umbrella playing in the loudspeakers in the stadium "When the sun shines, we shine together!"
  20. And it's not a bit of rain......damn, the flood gates are wide open
  21. And a lot of survivors (the wives/mothers mostly, called the 'Mothers of Srebrenica', a lot of whom actually moved to the Netherlands and were even granted citizenship) are still trying to get a ton of money from the Dutch state, blaming the Dutch soldiers who were there to protect them (who, in fact, were not much to blame, because Mladic and his army formed an overwhelming force). There's still a huge legal battle going on about this until this very day. Actually, two weeks ago there was a new statement from the court, luckily saying that the Dutch state is not required to pay full (of course financial) compensation. Instead of putting the blame on Mladic and his terror army, they try to put the blame on others (who, coincidentally, have more financial means to pay compensations..). https://www.rtlnieuws.nl/nederland/moeders-van-srebrenica-diep-teleurgesteld-na-uitspraak-hof

  23. Unless it's a certain Spaniard who is basically at home at Roland Garros
