  1. Or a French athlete in France
  2. Oh, and according to Dylan Groenewegen, Robert Wagner will finally be replaced as lead-out The news is that Timo Roossen will take his place and do the lead-out today, which is the only rider in the entire train who actually seems to know what he's doing, so that's good.
  3. Surprise! The flag to signal the start was waved, Backaert (Wanty, of course), Bodnar and Marcato attacked and nobody responded, so they're gone. And surprise! Lotto-Soudal put someone at the front of the peloton to help Quick-Step's Julien Vermote keep control of the lead group, so Lotto-Soudal can help Kittel win again
  4. Possibly, although I have never even talked about IndyCar with this person I'm lost
  5. The plot thickens: it was Helio Castroneves who won that race (one of my favourite drivers), his first win in three years. Castroneves is a Brazilian athlete....I sent this message to a Brazilian athlete......
  6. That moment when you wake up and you see you sent this message to someone on Whatsapp during the night, having no memory about it whatsoever (around two hours after I went to sleep, so it wasn't part of a conversation or something) I have cracked my brain trying to figure out what the hell I could have meant, but I have absolutely no clue. There was no 'secret' or anything in the entire conversation, I have absolutely no idea what those numbers mean (it's no phone number, it's no date, no idea), this is just.......weird
  7. Marc Sergeant, manager of Lotto-Soudal: "We'll ride for Greipel again tomorrow, because otherwise we might as well not have brought him." Today might easily be the most boring stage of all by the way. Yesterday at least there was a ton of quite interesting castles and stuff to see, today it's mostly farmland and a whole lot of nothingness. There's the Notre Dame de Cyclistes which has an interesting historical story (Google for it, especially the part about Luis Ocaña), but that's about it. And then, for the 95496th time, Pau.
  8. [hide] Women's Singles Semifinals British Summer Time (GMT +1) Date and Venue Athlete 1 T1 T2 Athlete 2 July 13th 2017, h. 13:00, Centre Court, Wimbledon [14] Garbine Muguruza 1 2 Magdalena Rybarikova July 13th 2017, h. TBD, Centre Court, Wimbledon [10] Venus Williams 2 0 Johanna Konta [6] [/hide]
  9. Meanwhile the boys at Wanty are getting angry, because no other teams seem to be interested at all in at least trying to attack. Team manager Hilaire Vanderschueren is furious, Offredo (who was in the attack today) was furious after the stage. At least their mentality is good. Vanderschueren: "We're trying to make this race at least a bit of fun to watch, but nobody wants to help..."
  10. I thought Tortu was pretty much out for the season with his injury Excellent news!
  11. 89.50m, booooo
  12. And every time the attempt is further than the next one, keep going like this and Zelezny's world record is toast after his 6th attempt
  13. 94.44m, come on, this is not normal
  14. Obviously at the world championships it's always possible a non-German wins, but man, if they have one big chance for a gold medal...it's definitely right there (stating the obvious, I know )
  15. Tristan Hoffman of Bahrain-Merida about why they're still helping Kittel's team to win: "We're going for Sonny Colbrelli all the way." Dude.....Colbrelli is hopelessly out of shape, 6th, 9th, 18th in the sprints, come on. And 100% sure we'll see the same thing tomorrow: every sprint team riding to bring Kittel to the finish, again.
  16. Stef Clement trained with Luis Angel Maté last winter and Maté (Cofidis rider) told him nobody at Cofidis can eat pork meat, there can be no female massage people etc, all because of Bouhanni and his religion
  17. Vermote has already clocked well over 1000km in the lead of the peloton so far this Tour
  18. That as well, but the crowd very much screwed up the ending to this match.
  19. Konta in the semi's because some idiot in the crowd started screaming on match point, leading Halep to stop playing
  20. Bouhanni acting like Bouhanni and hitting Bauer 7km from the finish. https://streamable.com/8x6zf

  23. Asking if you can create a thread goes a bit beyond the whole point of a forum I guess I see Dunadan opened one
  24. True Well, no harm in opening a thread, it's actually rather normal on a forum
  25. Oh and Greipel, again
