    Thank you @hckosice and (I believe?) @NikolaB for very quickly confirming that Russia's team was indeed incredibly strong, right when it was announced Bookmakers giving them odds of 2.5 was a good one indeed

    I've been cheering for Alex Harvey these Olympics and this is what I get....so disappointing.

    Yes, but that's not a tie for gold, which is what I was talking about I don't care if there's not 'the bronze medal winner' because you're not a 'reigning bronze medal winner', I just find it really annoying that there's nobody who can claim to be the Olympic champion when there's a tie for gold.

    What is more ridiculous is ties being so common...

    Not if they use the speed skating system, where 34.341 would of course be counted as 34.34, but where 34.399 would be counted as 34.39

    More likely that it won't happen of course, but it's also far from unrealistic

    I hate having a four year period where nobody is the Olympic champion but you've always got 'one of the Olympic champions'

    Lochner hasn't made the best of choices in terms of equipment, didn't even come anywhere close..
