  1. Because I was told by someone (involved around this) who I know 100% to be talking the truth in this matter. What other things Likert is talking about I would not know, but it's not about results being incorrect (as in, smaller differences being noted than the results were in reality).
  2. The video that's mentioned in the links. The way I understood it (for the race in Turkey): - Timing was changed from automatic to manual - Results (manually timed) showed a relatively close race - Someone had recorded the race (or at least the finish) on their mobile phone and that video showed that the result was very much not as close as the official result suggested.
  3. In Bogota they did actually finish close to each other, unlike what apparently happened in Turkey according to the video of the race.
  4. But I see no reason for that being mentioned, other than just 7 people being there (which has nothing to do with cheating, but with FIS having shitty rules).
  5. Reading this article, I only see this timing issue about the race in Turkey, which was proven because it was recorded on camera by mobile phone. But nothing about Bogota?
  6. By the way, perfect example of why the whole FIS points system absolutely sucks monkey balls in both cross-country skiing and alpine skiing.
  7. Sounds rather lucky for World Rugby (or whoever was in charge) that this ineligible player situation came up, now they don't really need to deal with the situation around the Romanian referee in charge of a match which had direct influence on Romania's chances to qualify.. Edit: Apparently they did make a statement about this, which really leaves nothing to the imagination about the referee.
  8. Well, only one way to find out. Do you happen to have a link to something about it? I can't find it on NRK
  9. Is this some super hipster new FIVB kind of way to write the month, using Roman numbers? I am now born on 12.IX.1990
  10. Ah yes, I forgot the one who asked it said it was "on an object I found in my great-uncles belongings"
  11. Getting away with 14 months for a doping offense, not perfect, but definitely not bad (for him).
  12. @Janakis @George_D Asking for a friend, any idea what this says? (we came to the conclusion it's Greek, but it might be wrong, in which case I apologize for wasting your time )
  13. Haha Medvedev, fallen to the sword of the almighty Haase
  14. Oh my, Haase is taking Medvedev apart.
  15. 52.75 for 18-year old Sydney McLaughlin in the 400m hurdles, breaking her own junior world record (53.60 last month) by almost a second. This is pure madness, less than half a second above the world record at 18 years of age.
  16. But they need support from the population, whereas I have a feeling Belarus (or who knows, Turkey for the next one) don't give two fucks about what the population thinks
  17. The one where the (doping, as turned out later) steeplechase Azeri-Ethiopian/Kenyan was leading by 5 minutes and then stumbled and hit the bar flat on the face in the last lap? She got away without injury because she got up and won so it's safe to say that was my comical highlight of the Games.
  18. On which planet? Totallympics doesn't count, we all know we'd stay awake half the night for two weeks if there was a Junior South Burmese Games or something.
  19. That depends on the average number of shot put javelins you manage to long jump over the steeplechase pole vault per 265 meter lap.
