  1. For fuck's sake, no ! A athlete not getting caught only means he has not get caught, not that he is clean. We have an endless number of exemple of athletes doped to the eyeballs who have passed literraly hundred of tests and didn't get caught. That mantra really needs to die.
  2. For a more sensible answer that my earlier post here, between 38 and 48 medals Athletics: 3-4 Boxing: 2-3 Canoeing: 3 Cycling (BMX, Road, Mountain Bike): 2-3 Cycling (Track): 3 Equestrian: 1-2 Fencing: 3-4 Judo: 5 Modern Pentathlon: 1 Rowing: 1-2 Sailing: 3-4 Shooting: 1 Swimming: 4-5 Taekwondo: 2 Team Sports: 2-3 Tennis: 1-2 Other stuff (Archery, Diving, Triathlon, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Table Tennis, Gymnastics...) : 1-2 Our record in modern times has been set in Beijing with 41 medals. I have good hope that we could beat that.
  3. Maybe, we could make a prediction contest out of it ? Something like horse racing perhaps ? 1 point for a correct nation, 3 points for a nation in the correct spot, bonus points for a correct top 3/5, extra points for the correct number of medals, etc.
  4. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/olympics/2016/07/25/russia-olympics-team-could-be-cut-to-40-as-ioc-backlash-grows/ An answear to the backlash of yesterday (and the very lazy job of some of the IFs) ?
  5. Indeed, tennis isn't athletics or weightlifting, these two sports have a somewhat marginal efficient anti-doping program. Tennis has not. It has a communication policy (that very rarely goes out of tracks like in Sharapova's case). Using it as a "very strict criteria" to judge the cleaness of any athletes is taking us for complete idiots.
  6. They didn't even try to pretend they did... Even waiting a couple of days was too much asking, they probably cleaned the athletes before this guy even had the chance to talk. "Very strict criterias" L - O - L
  7. http://www.skysports.com/tennis/news/12110/10511558/tennis-first-sport-to-clear-russians-for-rio-olympic-games So what was the time needed by ITF to reach an "individual analysis of each athlete". 5 minutes ? What a tragic farce.
  8. Well... https://medium.com/@stevemagness/no-one-really-wants-a-whistle-blower-russia-the-ioc-and-doping-6c0c2461bba7#.7qoqrz64l
  9. And we also set a precedent to ban any allready convicted dopers from the Olympics. Something baddly needed.
  10. Because, it's not a news (yet) (and russian rumors are saying otherwise at the moment btw) http://matchtv.ru/rio2016/matchtvnews_NI644045_Rio_2016_Sbornuju_Rossii_ne_otstranili_ot_Olimpijskih_igr
  11. France too in C1 200. Anyway, that's the Daily Mail, so it's probably better to wait for an official announcement
  12. According to Mail on Sunday (UK), Russia to be banned tomorrow...

  14. Not anymore ... Anyway, that seems tight indeed.
  15. Never heard of them But in their case it might be legit (my point is not about legality) to voice their opinion.
  16. Would you say that Futsal is a more popular sport than 'Hoquei' nowadays ?
  17. I won't answer the same thing 5 different times. So I'll leave you with a WADA/IOC member http://www.reuters.com/article/us-doping-russia-report-idUSKCN0ZX0JQ I'll add one thing though. We are not talking about personal opinions here (like ours), but governing bodies ones. Bodies that have a certained defined reach, that they clearly overpass on that occasion.
  18. They could simply express their concern or something similar. I maintain it's not their duty to call for WADA/IOC action and specially not before WADA made the report public. It's like the danish football federation would have called for the ban of italian football federation after the Calciopoli scandal for exemple. They are not entitled to do so. Simply as that.
  19. It's not their mandate to do so, it's WADA's one. Their duty stops within their own boundaries. Besides, seeing - among any other countries - the US and Canada calling for the ban, makes the theory of a political move credible and, in fine, downgrade the argument.
  20. Rhetoric question. They don't. It's not their business to call for other country to be banned.
  21. Indeed, that's ridiculous. By the way, since when, national anti doping agencies have a say in other countries affairs ?
  22. It's not surprising people tend to care about sport their country is succesfull at Anyway, the sport is slowy dying Except for Portugal and Catalonia (and maybe San Juan), it's barely sruviving everywhere else and it's getting eatten by the poor man's ice hockey version - aka roller inline hockey.
  23. You're probably the only one in your country http://www.fpp.pt/HP/Noticia/292 Some impressive ratings with more than half a million viewers for rink hockey. In France, if we ever had more than fifty spectators on a regional channe it must be a reccord
