  1. Thanks a lot for the lovely welcome, and thanks a lot for selecting a place reminding us so much about where we're from with barely any altitude! And of course an area with so much history. I am looking forward to visiting the fort and the Cathedral. But being from a festival loving country (I believe we're the country with most festivals compared to population), I would love to be in Glastonbury for the festival to experience one of the few festivals above our own Roskilde Festival in the rankings!
  2. We decided to leave early to make sure that we made it in time this year!
  3. Gilbert 2011 is without doubt up there (Winning the Ardennes classics as well as Brabantse pijl and Strade Bianchi with a 3rd place in MSR and Top 10 in Flanders as well). Boonen 2005 is close as well.
  4. What a brilliant hole in one by Kuchar taking hip up to 3rd place!
  5. A highly interesting Masters. Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia seems to be fighting for the win, being 3 i front of Rickie Fowler halfway through the last round. Will Sergio Garcia finally get hist first major after 22 top 10 finishes including 4 2nd places? A win would make him only the 3rd Spanish golfer to win a major after the legend Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Olazabal Or will defending Olympic Champion Justin Rose win the green jacket? That would be his 2nd major after winning U.S: Open in 2013. Or will we see a collapse for both of them or an astonishing finish from Fowler or maybe Pieters or Schwartzel?
  6. First cobbles. Let's get this started! One of the absolute highlights of the year in sports!
  7. I am afterall half Swedish (Swedish mother) But let's stop it here
  8. The suspect seem to be from Uzbekistan, which from what I know isn't a major country when it comes to asylum/refugees. Before any more is known, it would be very wrong to make any analyses on what caused this situation. That's not about being politically correct or incorrect (I'm personally pretty tired of that being used at once somebody gets offended). And the rape statistics... Yes, Sweden has seen a raise in rapes, but let's remember a couple of things before we decide to call it a lot or anything. First of all, the definition of sexual offences is extremely wide in Sweden. Just consider the charges against Assange. This caused a massive rise in the statistics after 2005. Second ís the reporting of the crime. If a woman tells the police that she has been raped every day for a year, every single case is reported instead of it being reported as a single case. Therefore only a few people can make major changes to the statistics. And if we're looking at the actual statistics: 2015 (the year with the by far most asylum seekers) had the lowest number of rapes since 2008, and 2016 had fewer than 2014 and about the same numbers as 2011 I'm not offended by the use of rape statistics, neither am I saying that there are no problems in Sweden (there are). I'm getting offended (not to say pretty pissed) by a reply showing absolutely no kind of sympathy only a few hours after such a terrible attack in a place that I hold very dear and have been to lots of times.
  9. Innocent people are killed and you decide to get political? Come on, show some sympathy! They have what they want? It's completely fair to disagree with the way things are in Sweden (I also think they are too political correct) but saying that they have what they want because they've been wanting to help people in distress is just too much! And don't get me started on those rape statistics...
  10. The question is really who we'll see there. After all a guy like Adam Ondra is superb in both lead and boulder, but doesn't do speed. Will he end up trying to become decently competitive there as well? (he has been sceptical). Then he would be a favourite and not just a mediocre athlete. But I guess it was their only chance to get a go at the Olympics.
  11. It seems like they haven't given up the hope to get them to the Olympics. They are doing what they can to find a solution and she has said that she would love to compete for Denmark.
  12. I simply can't say how happy I am that he has decided to represent Sweden. That boy is insane!
  13. Let's remember that it's pretty far away from the plant itself, and most of the radiation is spilled out into the ocean (not that it's not a huge problem). The radiation at the stadium isn't really that high from what I see, and there isn't really any problems being there for a short period of time. That doesn't mean that I support the idea, as I really think it's way too gimmicky!
  14. Rumours has it that handball is a little popular in Scandinavia, but I guess they haven't heard

  16. Well. This week, Aarhus is the center of sports with SportAccord happening. So close to where I am, but I couldn't find a reason to get accreditation (I even considered asking Sindo for permission to use Totallympics ), especially with classes and training for the Aarhus University boat race in less than a month. What I wouldn't give for being there instead of in class.

  18. The Danish jury has just left the conference room. After 3 tough weeks of discussion they have agreed. Jury leader, Agger is very satisfied with the voting, though it was tough agreeing in the jury. "It has been a tedious proces to get to a result. Though we're a small jury, we never really managed to agree. But I think we've found the best possible compromise. It has been a pleasure listening to all the songs, and I'm really looking forward to the show," he said to the press as he left the room. Shortly after, one of the other members, Mattias, who we still don't know for sure is another person, left the room shouting that it had been a terrible voting and that he would never again help the Danish delegation. Some of you may remember him as the one stating that Denmark would never participate again. Is it the same person? are they identical twins? Or is this just a terrible news story? Maybe we'll never know. What we know, is that we're looking forward to the contest!
  19. It has been a busy time for me, but it's not the first time I vote close to the deadline But don't you worry. I'm planning to vote within the next 12 hours
  20. Al-Qaeda released an article in 2010 about it.
