  1. excluding Beijing and Sydney because of the strict covid rules of CHN and AUS, the only other city in the world ready "on the go" to host the Games is London... but of course it would still take some time to set up such kind of event, so I think it's impossible to move the Olympics in 2021...just force Japan to take their responsibility: they have to host the Olympic Games as promised in the scheduled days and if they don't do it, just throw them off the Olympic movement forever... p.s. and of course, to me Japan should already be declared undesired host for any sport event in the future (especially no more Olympic candidature might be even take into consideration from them)...
  2. which is a farce like breakdance (maybe even more than that)...
  3. it looks they weren't able to get out... and tomorrow they're scheduled to go out earlier than expected, already at 9.15 a.m. local time...
  4. Liiga, Finals, Game #1 & #2 Black and white, day and night... The first 2 games of the Finnish Liiga Finals were like that... In game #1, TPS Turku won on the road without giving Lukko Rauma a chance, the, in game #2, less than 24 hours later, things went exactly the opposite, with the home team, Lukko, leaving the hosts chanceless, despite it took 35 mins to score the first (winning) goal... So, the series (best-of-5) is now tied at 1 apiece. Game #3 is scheduled for Tomorrow, Monday, May 10th at 4 p.m. local time (3 p.m. CET) in Turku. Game #1: Lukko Rauma - TPS Turku 1-4 (series score: 0-1) Game #2: Lukko Rauma - TPS Turku 4-0 (series score: 1-1) Game #1 stats: https://liiga.fi/en/ottelut/2020-2021/playoffs/55521/seuranta/ Highlights: Game #2 stats: https://liiga.fi/en/ottelut/2020-2021/playoffs/55522/seuranta/ Highlights:
  5. USA Gold, Australia Silver are a lock...for Bronze, I hope Spain or Belgium can do it, but I fear this time it will be France (so, I picked them)...
  6. there are younger girls in Skateboarding who are locked medals...actually, the whole podium in women's Park could well be under-14...
  7. and he has been punished big time for that... however, something must have happened to him in the last 12 months...I remember him a lot stronger, capable of throwing wrestlers around the mat with no apparent effort...nowadays he just can't throw anybody...and going to the European champs 2 weeks ago wasn't a brilliant idea from our federation... to me, this is the second most painful missed qualification so far (behind only the women's team in Waterpolo)...
  8. big, very big upset...
  9. and once again I missed most of my predictions...
  10. she already has a 31.40 PB (running all alone last year)... with proper pacemakers, more experience on that specific event, the new shoes etc., I don't think it will be difficult for her to cut 15 seconds off her PB and get the qualification standard for Tokyo... actually, I'd be surprised if she misses out on that...
  11. c'mon! you, too? in the -97kg it's Italy to face Hungary...
  12. Italian Channel Raisport+ HD...they will have everything live (open water swimming included)... and of course the Hungarian TV, M4 Sport...they're going to show also all the preliminaries...
  13. couple of very close matches for Nikoloz...but he's still alive... by the way, why are they using the Irish Flag instead of Italy's on the scoreboards?
  14. but I can't change my vote anymore... however, it's not that important...I already explained that I love them all...and Fencing is always my favourite one, so it's OK in any case...
  15. China's sweep of gold medals of course... then, I see GBR and RUS among the men and CAN for sure among the women... women's bronze it's gonna be very open...I'm a little biased, so, I picked Italy...but it's more a tiny hope than a true prediction...
  16. even worse... ius soli is already there...after full 5 years of residence if you're from an EU Country (10 if you're extra-UE) you can already ask for our citizenship... there's no need to give up our passports easier than now (I can only accept to give our passport to those guys who are born in Italy from foreign parents, but only after the age of 15 and only if they have always lived and gone to school here...they must somehow show they're fully integrated into our social system and they fully respect and live our culture, traditions and law)...
  17. by the way, today and tomorrow the European Throwing Cup is on stage... all the action is live on YT...
  18. yeah, it was written just after WW II, when we tried to get all those who escaped fascism era by shipping to the American continent back... most Italian laws are very, very old and only some of them have been adapted to the modern age...it's one of our problems (still, I think this nationality law is good, better than the new one they -the politicians from the lefty parties only, to be precise...it's definitely not the common feeling of all the already Italian citizens- want to establish)...
  19. to be precise, you can go back to the glory days of the 19th century and earlier... the only important thing is that the "line" has never been broken by someone by giving up the Italian citizenship he/she originally held (and unfortunately there are many people with Italian ancestry that are not eligible anymore to get the Italian passport because of their origin because some of his/her relatives had to give up their Italian one -because of lack of interest rather than because of the law of the place where they live/lived, as some Countries don't allow the double nationality)... p.s. our current law on Nationality is the best possible one...for sure better than the fuckin' ius soli they want impose right now...
  20. I love them all, some of them more than others, but in general combat sports are among my favourite disciplines overall... I really missed the option "all of them"...so, just to pick my no.1 in this list of nos. 1s, I opted for Fencing...
  21. Gam-Jeom are the penalties... in the middle of course you can see the time of the match (timeout means that at that moment the clock was stopped for some reason)... the icons below the flags are the type of scoring (punch, hit of the body shield, hit on the head -it's a red helmet, which I don't see in the picture)... the numbers on the shields on the bottom line is the percentage of strenght of the last hits recorded (you need to hit with more than a certain strenght to have the hit recorded as a score)...
  22. maybe it was the injury that made her lose some weight, so to stay in the old class...or maybe she's just following a new diet...
  23. NLA, Finals, Game #3 EV Zug are the Swiss Champions 2020/2021! After a boring 1st period, where nothing really worth to be mentioned happened, EV Zug took the lead at the beginning of the second stint. But Genève-Servette were not ready to give up their chances yet, and thanks to a power play goal they tied the game just a minute and a half before the second interval. The start of the 3rd period saw the home team trying to score and get a new lead, but for more than 8 minutes the hosts could stop them quite easily and they even got a few chances to get the lead by themselves...until an amazing counter by Gregory Hoffman allowed him to score the most important goal of the year. Then, a goal scored by Carl Klingberg only 20 secs after Hoffman's (and only 5 secs into a power play ) basically closed all the doors for the host team. They just could do nothing to overcome the deficit and Zug did even find another couple of "cosmetic" goals to make the final score really punishing for Genève. It's only the second title for the team from the Central Switzerland...and it's a truly deserved one, after they dominated the season from the start to the last second of play. EV Zug - HC Genève-Servette 5-1 (series score: 3-0) Game #3 stats: https://www.sihf.ch/de/game-center/game/#/20211105000360 Highlights: http://tv.sihf.ch/SmartPublish/index?clubId=BFA56684-1A6D-407D-866F-1E6E1F766281
  24. DEL, Finals, Game #3 the Eisbären Berlin are the German Champions 2021! Earlier tonight, the team from the German Capital overturned the series' score by winning the decisive 3rd game at home and winning another title... It was quite a strange match, with all the important things happening very early... After the first 2 minutes and 14 seconds the score was already 1-1, but then nothing else happened in the 1st stint. The championship winning goal came after only 3 mins in the 2nd period, thanks to Leonard Pfoderl. From that moment on, it was only a tough, close battle dominated more by fear to lose than the true desire to win and with Wolfsburg unable to put enough pressure on Berlin's defense. And when the final whistle was blown, it was time for Berlin to start the party... Eisbären Berlin - Grizzlys Wolfsburg 2-1 (series score: 2-1) Game #3 stats: https://www.penny-del.org/event/eisbaeren-berlin-grizzlys-wolfsburg/7462 Highlights: https://www.penny-del.org/video/eisbaeren-berlin-grizzlys-wolfsburg-highlights/14132
