  1. women's 10m Air Rifle Team event... Gold for South Korea (1891.7 pts), Silver for India (1883.2 pts) and Bronze once again for Iran (1877.6 pts)...
  2. I can also confirm that the Team Gold in the men's 10m Air Rifle event went to China (1881.9 pts) ahead of South Korea (1877.9 pts) and Iran won bronze (1872.6 pts)...
  3. right now, I can regularly see all the final scores
  4. the change between Mistral and RS:X was more than just a different sail provider...ask those athletes with a bigger body shape who were heavily penalized by that change... and this time it's gonna be a even bigger change...foiling is almost not sailing, it's more like flying above the surface... look at Nacra 17...it took more than a year to the best crews in the old class to get back on top of the new foiling Nacra...and some of them have not learned how to manage the new features, meanwhile a few sailors that weren't that good with the old boats, now are always medal contenders... it's gonna be the same in windsurfing... p.s no comment on those fu**in' mixed sh*t (and the addition of kitesurfing, which, imho, is not sailing at all*)... *and it's an attempt to gift France a free Gold Medal...I hope that at least someone's going to spoil the home team party...
  5. I'm not worried at all...and they can do whatever they want... for sure, I'm not going to waste 90 minutes during the Olympic days to watch the Netherlands scoring 25 goals against a poor 5th-tier team going to the Games because we have to protect "universality" in each and every sport and event (just to make an example)... and in any case, I'm nnot going to follow the Olympics anymore as soon as breakdance becomes part of the schedule...oh, wait...in 2024 we're gonna have breakdancing at the Olympics!
  6. oh, if you listen to some idiots of the IOC, you can always go down to 16 individuals in 500m & 1000m and 18 in 1500m + only 4 teams in the relays, with a direct final (thus cutting athletes and competition rounds, to make the whole sessions more tv-friendly)... remember, there's no limit to those bunch of ***
  7. I'm more for the principle: first you have to get good enough...and then, only then, you should try to be part of the show... there are so many events (which they kindly declined) they could have used to develop their movement, before ruining the "Jewel of the Crown", the Olympic Tournament... but no...they should still be allowed to start from the top tier event...no way, my friend...
  8. since mister Fraccari is an idiot and all not-live broadcasts of the Premier 12 are blocked in Italy (according to WBSC, a company named Eleven Sports has the media rights, but they are not putting the games on their platform, which is in any case just unwatchable, so, it's like it never existed), I'm going to stop following the event... If I can't watch the games comfortably laying on my couch with the Youtube app on my TV screen at a reasonable time of the day, I won't watch them at all... is this a strike? yes, I guess... p.s. if someone wants to take over and post results, boxescores and highlights is more than welcome...
  9. while I could agree for Malaysia (they're good enough top keep up with all the other teams), I definitely not agree for Ghana, as they are not good enough...their games would just be unwatchable blowouts... for this same reason, I like the rule they have in fencing...OK to universality/continental representation in the team events, but only if that continental team is good enough to be in the top 16 of the world overall... all team sports should do the same...also for the Host Nation... that's my point of view...
  10. men's 5000m Relay Gold: Russia Silver: South Korea Bronze: Canada
  11. women's 3000m Relay Gold: China Silver: South Korea Bronze: Canada
  12. men's 1000m Gold: Hwang Dae Heon Silver: Victor An Bronze: Park Ji Won
  13. women's 1000m Gold: Suzanne Schulting Silver: Han Yutong Bronze: Zhang Chutong
  14. men's 500m, race #2 Gold: Wu Dajing Silver: Shaolin Sandor Liu Bronze: Abzal Azhgaliyev
  15. women's 500m, race #2 Gold: Kim Boutin Silver: Qu Chunyu Bronze: Lara Van Ruijven
  16. universality could be pursuited when there was no limit to participation... now that you have tournaments/races with only 6/8 starters (which is simply a shame, unacceptable), you have to put this concept aside... I'm OK with reserving some spots here and there to not exactly the best in the field only in sports where you have a fair amount of those supposed "best" (teams/athletes), making the competition interesting for all the sports fans (especially the neutral ones)... team sports definitely must not be annoyed by "universality", as they have too few participants at the actual Olympic tournaments...
  17. in Italy it was...our version of Eurosport 2 (the tv channel, not the online player) was showing a full recap of the weekend (I saw they were showing the team pursuit -which wasn't ridden today- while switching from the Taekwondo Europeans to another program) a couple of hours ago...
  18. Day #3 Medallists women's -67kg Gold: Lauren Williams Silver: Magda Wiet Henin Bronze: Matea Jelic & Nur Tatar Askari women's +67kg Gold: Bianca Walkden Silver: Lorena Brandl Bronze: Nafia Kus & Milica Mandic men's +80kg Gold: Aiukaev Rafail Silver: Alexander Bachmann Bronze: Roberto Botta & Ivan Trajkovic
  19. and Gold for Poland, beating the Russians at the last hit, 45-44... so, China stay on top of the OQR with 252 points, Poland are now second with 244 and Russia go down in 3rd place with 240 points... for the remaining places (and qualification spots), just read the posts above...
  20. Bronze for the USA...now Russia can tie China at the top of the OQR, should they win the Gold Medal match vs Poland... United States earned 40 points in the OQR and they are now 4th with 220, good 30 points ahead of the 5th placed Italy...
  21. quick update... the placement matches are over, so this is today's final ranking from 5th through 10th place: 5th, Estonia (scoring 32 pts) 6th, Italy (scoring 30 pts) 7th, Germany (scoring 28 pts) 8th, Ukraine (scoring 26 pts) 9th, France (scoring 25 pts) 10th, South Korea (scoring 24 pts) and this is the Olympic Qualification Ranking for the same positions after this weekend: 5th, Italy, 190 pts (currently qualified as top European team) 6th, South Korea, 174 pts (currently qualified as top Asian team) 7th, Ukraine, 153 pts (currently qualified thanks to the reallocation, as no African team is within the top 16 of the OQR) 8th, Estonia, 148 pts 9th, France, 135 pts 10th, Germany, 127 pts finally, today Canada ended up in 16th place (18 pts), meaning that they go down to 13th place in the OQR (tied with Hungary, 114 pts)...however, that's still good enough to be the best Panamerican team outside the top 4 of the ranking and therefore they're still in qualifying position...
