  1. Day #1 Group A b. 3-0 b. 3-1 Group B b. 5-2 b. 6-0
  2. Women's Softball 2024 World Cup Castions Di Strada (ITA) - 15 July / 21 July 2024 Full Program
  3. and Today we also lost the men's Sub-22 European title to France (we came back 2-2 after losing the first 2 sets, but we couldn't manage the tie-break and finally lost 3-2) hopefully, those youth losses will be made up with both the men and women's Olympic Gold Medals
  4. yeah, that was already confirmed by World Rowing's president some time ago as I already wrote, 150 years of history thrown away
  5. no way! now he has to face 2 lots more dangerous opponents on the road to semis
  6. I was just looking at the previous encounters of Dell'Aquila vs the other qualified athletes "dangerous" for him just means Jendoubi and Park (and Ravet, as he's the hometown boy), he hasn't lost against any other competitor among the qualified ones in a major event since 2019, so those 2/3 were the men he's better not to face before the GMM meanwhile Simone Alessio has a much tougher draw, having to face already in the quarters the always dangerous man from Iran (or the Uzbek man) and in the semis his bete noir Seo even the 1st round vs or isn't a walk in the park
  7. and now what's gonna happen to Pauley Pavillion? is Peacock Theater the building formerly named Nokia Theater? (that one close to the Crypto.com arena?)
  8. this is a perfect table draw...all the most dangerous rivals of Vito are in the opposing half
  9. because here in Italy there's always no interest for any sport but national football + ferrari only when things actually happen, then a lot of people who normally don't even know that some sports exist, they start celebrating the most amazing success (like Jacobs' gold in 2021) or, most likely (it's the true National discipline), to hate those who didn't perform as expected you can see all this shit already this week with Sinner at Wimbledon sports culture here is dead, given it's been alive in an unknown previous age
  10. well, at least you have 1 no.1 entry (women's 100m HS)
  11. in the men's Sabre, Gallo is now the 3rd man, not Torre
  12. oh, and I forgot Badminton (where they have multiple reigning world champions) they need their best sportsmen to perform on top of their chances, but it's not impossible at all for them to collect 12/14 gold medals
  13. muscular strain just before Yesterday's meet in Hungary he's gonna miss also Friday's Diamond League meet in Monaco and basically he'll be in Paris having jumped only at the Europeans in Rome not the farewell season he would have liked...
  14. I saw that coming... but, yes, they can grab a lot of gold medals between Archery, Fencing, Shooting and should not be underestimated in Taekwondo, Judo, Modern Pentathlon, Swimming, Weightlifting and Gymnastics (+ Woo in the men's HJ in Athletics)
  15. 12/15 (if we get 15, we would be better than 9th, of course) but after Today's bad news (Tamberi's injury and Sinner's loss with sickness), I'm less optimist than Yesterday
  18. yeah, but I say that because my daily routine is more or less 7.30/8 am through midnight/midnight30, so I'm not used to go to bed that early in any case (unless I'm sick, of course) and I'm pretty sure I have quite a few things to catch up after live action is over (from team sports to some finals with no Italian participation in sports I don't give priority)
  19. not only volleyball however, Anzani was already stopped last year (he basically lost the entire 2022/2023 season, as he already underwent a cardiac ablation surgery a year ago) then, at the beginning of this season he was allowed to start again by the same doctors that now stopped him again here in Italy the rules about professional sport activity are very, very strict when it comes down to heart condition (we did even stop a double Olympic champion going for an historical repeat like Domenico Fioravanti just a few months before Athens 2004)
  20. almost perfect...but 23.00 is a bit too early to turn things off for me, I think I'd go on until at least 0.30/1.00 a.m.
  21. When is the first realistic medal chance of the Games for your nation? day #1, event #2 (women's Synchronized 3m Springboard) When do you think your nation will get their first medal and in which event? day #1, Cycling, men's ITT (if we consider the event's start time) or Judo, women's -48kg (if we consider the actual moment in which the medal would be a done deal) Is there a bumper day for your nation where you expect more than one or a few medals to come? If so, what day? well, I think we have at least 3 medal chances each and every day of the Olympics, in the first week even more thanks to fencing, swimming and shotgun shooting Is there a day when you expect to have not so much competitors from your nation competing or no chances for medals? Monday & Tuesday, August 5th & 6th are probably our 2 weakest days, but still we have at least 2/3 medal chances no "empty" days for us, luckily
