  2. I wasn't whining at all...I was just explaining why we lost Today (and last year in Milan) against weaker teams however, Today it was a truly shameful loss...it needs to be said
  3. well, they could make other moves to get things more balanced...we're just 4 years away
  4. in the USA swimming rates way better than athletics, actually
  5. they have a brand new state-of-the-art slalom canoeing venue already hosting international events in the next future and the dream team of college softball (with thousends of fans ready to show up at the games)...I think it's enough to earn the honors

  10. 1. 5 medals (1 in each shotgun shooting event), 2 of them being gold (the women have definitely more chances than the men/mixed I guess, especially Diana Bacosi in the Skeet) 2. by margin, then it's a close call between many teams like and possibly also and (not counting completely out the , also because of their shotgun specialists) 3. Vincent Hancock in the shotgun disciplines and Anna Korakaki in the pistol disciplines
  11. first 2 were good...the 3rd...well, try again and you'll be luckier
  12. Quarterfinals b. 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23) b. 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22) b. 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-23) vs running right now, won the 1st set by a score of 25-20
  13. last year the problem was the health of Marini (who pulled out a true miracle when he won the individual title with a disintegrated shoulder) and Garozzo being not reliable anymore (probably he was already experiencing the problems that forced him to stop his career earlier this year) Today...well, I think Marini was just having a bad day, maybe he was mentally spent after the individual gold medal (I hope he's not another guy like Vezzali, who often used to have downs in the team competition after winning the individual gold) anywhere else, Bianchi is Bianchi (so, not the biggest talent in the world) and Foconi, who should be the experienced man, the "insurance", just entered the bout when he wasn't supposed to and had a rough start (but still managed to limit the damage, in the end) I wouldn't take this competition for what it's not...it's obvious that all the qualified guys (not only the Italians, of course) are already focused on the Olympics
  14. our girls mainly focus on the road races through the season, they only train specifically on the track and peak just for the world champs their results in Winter/Spring don't mean anything compared to what they can do when it truly matters
  15. I fear that there will be a draw also in the team events this time around (1-2 vs 7-8 and 3-4 vs 5-6), so not to have mathematical pairings known months before the actual competition
  16. men's Team Foil, semifinals vs and vs
  17. hope it's not a big issue for all of them (but Thibus)
  18. only 11 teams at the start of the men's Foil and 14 in the women's Epee...quite disappointing and frustrating (especially the epee poor participation)
  19. women's Team Epee, semifinals vs and vs
  20. Gambaro is a sports tourist...our NOC should have the "huevos" to reject those 237th tier reallocations we're big and strong enough not to pursuit participation numbers, but medals
  21. Day #4 Finals men's 100m Fly Kristof Milàk, 50.82 Hubert Kos, 50.96 Jakub Majerski, 50.98 women's 50m Backstroke Danielle Hill, 27.73 Theodora Drakou, 27.87 Adela Piskorska, 28.00 men's 200m Breststroke Lyubomir Epitropov, 2.09.45 Erik Persson, 2.09.45 Jan Kalusowski, 2.10.20 women's 200m Freestyle Barbora seemanova, 1.55.37 Minna Abraham, 1.57.22 Nicole Maier, 1.57.36 men's 4*100m Freestyle Relay 3.12.90 3.13.25 3.13.73

  24. I expect both Team Pursuit crews to medal, meanwhile I'm not sure at all of what the omnium and madison guys can do (actually, we don't even know for sure who's gonna compete in those events, even if I presume that Viviani in men's Omnium should be a safe bet)
