so, in the end finish in 5th place and despite beating the Chinese 6-0 in the opening match finish with a miserable 8th place because the girls just can't manage the pressure they have taken the lead in each and every match (except vs the ), but they ended up losing all the games in the last inning (or the extra innings), mixing up big defensive errors and pitchers losing their focus and blowing that lead this championships has been a great success under the organizing point of view (a lot of spectators and good matches despite the unsufferable hot and humid weather), but truly a disaster under a sports point of view for our team, especially on defense and in the circle

was basically #2 in Tokyo without their best US born players, they're not so competitive (and many of them didn't play at the 2022 Pan-Am Champs)

yes, in Tokyo they had a TV course with races of 2 classes/day (shuffling the classes all around to have some coverage for all of them) moreover, they always have the medal races course (well covered by tv cameras), which is closer to the shore than the regular courses

they have the rights until the end of the year, but after Tokyo the Olympic section on D+ disappeared after less than 2 weeks some events were still available looking for the "all sports" section, but they were mixed up with all the other events of those disciplines and however they disappeared way before the supposed timeline the (partially) good thing was that the IOC had a decent iOS and Android app with all the Olympic replays working for quite some time (I didn't appreciate the poor picture quality with 25fps though), but then they decided to screw it up and left the files only on their website (which is so uncomfortable, basically unwatchable) if they don't make an app for all the connected devices, it's a useless effort

so, can't overtake even if they win and keep to 0 runs scored, unless they do win X-0 playing at least 1/3 of the 7th offensive inning (which is even more difficult than what it already looks, given that are the Home team and attack second later Tonight) on the other hand, would overtake at least if they win with any score and keeping to max 1 run scored finally, would overtake and finish 7th with a win Tonight

here in Italy there will be 7 additional channels dedicated to different disciplines (basketball, volleyball and beach, handball, football, racket sports & golf, combat sports, artistic sports -mainly gymnastics and diving) and 1 more channel in 4K (most likely a clone of Eurosport1) they will start only on July, 26th, so we have to wait before we see if they're also on the D+ app (I think yes, because they're already announced on basically every Italian service, from our pay-tv Sky to the OTT like Tim Vision and DAZN) 4 years ago, we had those channels on Discovery+, but not on Eurosport Player this time, since Eurosport Player is not active anymore, I think we are gonna watch those channels on the only platform still available (Discovery+, here we have to wait at least 2 more years to get the full Max app because of the existing deals betweek Sky Italia and HBO)

yeah, of course I was talking of the number of gold medals mainly...totals might be more accurate, but details sometimes are just out of this world (boxing and wrestling predictions are absolutely not reliable except for a few weight classes, tbh)

don't worry! it will be adjusted once where and when any match is played is known...they will put the names of the athletes involved in every stream of course, the match lenght = spoiler problem remains but they do the same with the grand slam tournaments (and cuts are not always perfect, people might find a description different from the actual content )
