Greece and Romania are currently hosting the U18 Women's Europeans. Italy are the big favorites once again. They have been winning every junior Euros, men or women, in the past few years . Surprisingly our team is doing very well and we are still undefeated, going over and in the group so far. We are always doing good at these junior events with the boys, but recently there have been a big improvement with girl teams. Because some advanced countries are not fond of sending "tourists" (a nice Balkan term ) to big events. They have enough sporting success, that bringing people only for participation is not worth it in their eyes. They could spare on finances, organization, logistics etc. For smaller countries this seems like a no brainer, as their athletes are usually far in between, so any additional name is good for some interest. Though i've read many comments in BG in the last decade about "why are we sending tourists to these events, if they are going to finish 5 from to bottom. Just so they can have a paid excursion". For me, if you have fulfilled the IOC's standards, then you should go, but i can see, why some countries don't want to fully accept this approach.

Обикновено влизам супер песимистично, но този път си има хора, които изпъкват в своите дисциплини и е нормално да се очаква медал от тях. Що се отнася до злато, Карлос ни е единственият фаворит и ако котка не му мине път трябва да ги смачка. Вече при гимнастичките, боксьорите има прекалено много условности. На хартия трябва да вземем 2 медала от гимнастиката и 2-3 потенциално от бокса, но пак си зависи от жребий, съдийство и прочие. Тази Иранка в таекуондото, Ализадех, също е много добра, би трябвало да се справи добре. Вече доколко радостен може да бъде нейн медал, спрямо такъв от истински Българин си е дебатно.
