    Czech Republic and Turkey have seemingly given up on Annual somewhere along the way. Both competed at 2015, 2016, 2017 editions of Open, while the last time they attended Annual was 2015.

    Funding troubles? Please don't tell me that the Slovak delegation was forced to do the crowd funding for this.

    Yvonne Losos de Muniz received a wild card for the dressage WC final in Paris next month. Very well deserved, as 2018 started incredibly well for her. From being stuck at low to mid 60s, including disappointing 61% from Rio, she is now hitting 70% competition after competition. All qualifiers for the dressage and jumping WC finals in Paris will be known after this weekend.

    The only thing that is nice is mixed curling with 16 teams. Welcome (they would have all qualified if WCF had a spine before Pyeongchang 2018).

    Thanks. That makes sense, forgot about the South American Games. She still has WEG qualifying scores from last year so that's no problem, although she will lack international outings going into it.

    Well, 33 nations have registered with a bit more than a week remaining. Hopefully there will be at least 35.

    Can any of you Argentinians find out what's going on with Maria Florencia Manfredi? She was a regular at the Florida Winter circuit the previous two years, but hasn't showed at all this year. Her latest international was Omaha 2017, in fact, almost a year ago.

    Not an exclusive speed specialist, but very successful in the speed events nevertheless.

    In what book is Gisin not a speed specialist? Or Brignone? Holdener and Shiffrin also have speed events podiums, so yeah, indeed it's the combiners that are getting the podium in this.
