Overview
Group A - Denmark should have no trouble with team qualification. When that happens, Finland will take the second spot, with Norway being an outsider.
Group B - Great to see Luxembourg leading this competitive group. Two nations from this group should be able to qualify a full team, so that will open things up a bit. Also, I'm quite sure the additional individual spot will eventually be assigned to this group. Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Switzerland... All of them want someone in Tokyo...
Group C - Georgia is sitting pretty in the first place, but it won't last once the usual suspects start to come in. Too bad, Vaughan is participating at the always competitive Florida circuit. She is doing it the hard way. Ukrainians and Belorussians, who will likely take the available slots, will be hiding at their home shows, until they come to the Europeans and score some miserable 62% or something...
Groups D/E - Canada will qualify a team, no doubt, but nevertheless Yvonne Losos is still topping the leaderboard. Dominican spot is basically already secured. No way some non-Canadian could match that. Pujals is probably doing enough to qualify Mexico too. Other than that, Latin America has been quite disappointing so far.. Guatemala is only temporarily here. Argentina and Ecuador surprisingly haven't showed up in Florida this year. A great shame, since the Global Dressage Festival was the perfect opportunity to collect Olympic points (it's basically 12 weeks of competition at the same venue...). Costa Rican rider did show up in Florida, but he dropped to small tour, which counts for nothing, Olympic-wise...
Group F - South Africa will hopefully qualify a team. With them gone, second spot will probably end up in Palestine, but watch out for Iran whose rider has improved quite a bit this year.
Group G - New Zealand started reasonably well at their National championships. They will however need to make a couple of trips to Australia to solidify their spot... Malaysia is holding the second spot as the only other ranked Group G nation, but nevertheless their rider definitely has a chance. Maybe even to overtake New Zealand eventually.
