  1. Natalia Lupu (UKR) was proclaimed innocent by WADA. IWF also justified Krzysztof Szramiak (POL), Lyaisan Makhiyanova (RUS) and Hripsime Khurshudyan (ARM). All 3 are pretty known names in weightlifting, esp Olympic bronze medalist Khurshudyan. Sharapova won't be included into this "amnesty wave" because her amount of meldonium was too high. According to WADA's General Counsel.
  2. 1. Athletics 2. Gymnastics 3. Rowing/Canoeing 4. Archery 5. Shooting Tennis, Weightlifting, Modern Pentathlon, Diving & Fencing landed from 6 to 10. Basically I like almost everyone (except certain sports with disgraceful judging)
  3. 1 week until May, our sports center/biathlon base on the West: I cringe every time our NOC president says "but Ukraine is not a winter country" ps. RIP Klaus Siebert
  4. IBU lifted provisional suspension of Artem Tyshchenko (UKR) http://www3.biathlonworld.com/en/press_releases.html/do/detail?presse=2850 Most def they will do the same to Latypov (RUS) http://www3.biathlonworld.com/en/press_releases.html/do/detail?presse=2849 Amnesty for Russian wrestlers: Semenov & Chakvetadze, cyclist: Chulkova, athletes: Kotlyarova, Fazlitdinova, Minzhulin, Vovk. Athletes' results from the National Indoor Championships were annulled though. http://www.rusada.ru/press/antidoping_news/rezultaty-slushanii-po-rassmotreniyu-vozmozhnogo-narusheniya-antidopingovykh-p Rybakov's (BLR) suspension was lifted by the IWF ISU canceled provisional suspension of Ekaterina Bobrova (RUS) according to her own words. Russian gymnast Nikolai Kuksenkov is innocent now as well (+ included in the European Championship start list). ps. Meldonium manufacturer will try to convince WADA to exclude it from the 2017 doping list.
  5. Sportsmen who can be proclaimed innocent by WADA: Andrey Rybakov (BLR) Yulia Yefimova (RUS) Pavel Kulizhnikov (RUS) Semen Elistratov (RUS) Andrey Minzhulin (RUS) Nadezhda Kotlyarova (RUS) Gulshat Fazlitdinova (RUS) Olga Vovk (RUS) Alexander Markin (RUS) Artyom Tyshchenko (UKR) etc. However they still have to prove that they consumed it before January 1. The 1st hearings coming in a 2 weeks. ps. According to the 1st results of the WADA study, meldonium eliminates from the body in 1 month & longer. 1 µg - 100ng ---> 3 weeks and more 100ng - less ---> few months
  6. Juraj Sanitra is the new coach of our men's team He used to train Anastasiya Kuzmina and Pavol Hurajt. We'll see if he can survive here + our men's team is going to prepare for the next season in Canada for few weeks: The president of our federation said he believes that Vita will go to the Olympics. "I'm 99% sure".
  7. Norwegian weightlifter Ruth Kasirye failed her doping test. Yep. Meldonium again: http://www.vg.no/sport/doping/norsk-ol-flaggbaerer-testet-positivt-paa-meldonium-mitt-ansvar/a/23653671/ She had tested positive after being treated with meldonium while receiving medical treatment in Uganda. 4 days before European Weightlifting Championships in Norway. http://www5.biathlonworld.com/ru/press-releases.html/do/detail?presse=2844 Meanwhile IBU delayed rulings on meldonium cases of Abramova & Tyshchenko "as the results of a pilot study conducted by the expert called by the Panel contradicted the present state of literature on Meldonium". The results of the WADA-study are expected for no later than September. Imo, they will be given 1 year ban.
  8. As for recent British Doping-gate... The Sunday Times mentioned tennis and ARD showed this pic: Even despite censoring his face we all know who he is (the pic is from London Olympics, being awarded by Rene Fasel). If it's true... wow @the level of hypocrisy Did they hint at him or they wanted to bring more drama with a random pic?
  9. What's more suspicious - these meds exist for 4 (!) decades but they were included to the prohibited list only now. 7 months before the Olympics After certain lobbyist studying that it's popular among their competitors E. Europeans.
  10. Actually most of them don't lie. The info list in the pack says it eliminates from the body in a day or 2 (which is true if you take it for the 1st time). According to French study if you take it for years it can stay in your body up to 4 months. It's not mentioned on the pack and our biathlon federation obtained those studyings AFTER Abramova case by contacting those scientists. I googled meldonium in September but the longest term I could find was 10-14 days.
  11. And they are stupid too. Nothing will save them if even American manufacturers lie (there's a proven case here) & "forget" to include prohibited ingredients on the pack.
  12. As for the new doping case: Germany, Ukraine & Russia denied this is their biathlete. The rumour says it's someone from Central Europe.
  13. My main faves are Czech Republic & Latvia (though I'd prefered Aminata to sing this/her song. Again). Almost half of ESC songs sound like they were created by the same Swedish producer. Many songs are underproduced or have the samey forgettable production, I can turn on TV commercials or the radio here and hear similar stuff. Overall... Though I have 7 faves which is far from disaster
  14. Vita Semerenko will continue to train with the team in autumn. Why being so late? Cuz she's pregnant! The president of our federation started this rumour 1 week ago: "she promised to come back like 1 French biathlete" hinting at Marie. And now this pic: http://cs631131.vk.me/v631131270/20496/XAFwb1HOxtQ.jpg I was afraid that she won't make it but it seems she can start training in September + she's been training this winter already so it won't be a big problem to get in shape.
  15. Not "in the list of doping with Russia" bot non-compliant with the WADA Code. Our main fault is that we used non-accredited laboratories in 2015. They asked us to solve all problems until the end of 2016. Ukraine has already had negotiations with accredited laboratories in Poland & Germany this week. + the new anti-doping law is waiting for approval in the parliament.
  16. What do you mean Baku 2015? Meldonium was added to the doping list on January 1.
  17. Ukrainian & French scientists together with our biathlon federation sent the new data to IBU. Ukrainian Biathlon Federation received the letter from IBU. IBU can initiate the additional meldonium research. http://biathlon.com.ua/comments.php?id=7178 The IBU Medical Committee planned on March 30 as for Tyshchenko & Abramova case can be postponed. The IBU said that meldonium effects as a doping haven't been scientifically proven as well as timing of the elimination of drugs from the body (Abramova stopped taking those meds on December 10). This new reserach can be about IBU & our sportsmen, it has nothing to do with other cases. According to the UBF president the transition period (up to 4 months) can be introduced or meldonium can be excluded from the doping list at all (less likely imo).
  18. Edited the previous post. + few weeks ago I've seen the video where the president of the federation said that everyone who achieved the standard should be selected to the Olympic team (can't find that video, sry ). So the top 2 position at the NCH would be necessary for the events that exceed the 3 athletes Olympic quota. The 3rd best athlete will be chosen according to IAAF ratings. + most def the wildcards will be given to Saladukha and Bondarenko. Depends of the upcoming decision by the federation.
