  1. So bad on so many levels ... Where is Sweden? What does Brazil have to do with anything? How is Germany littlefinger? They took Brazil head on 4 years ago and destroyed them, which is something littlefinger would never do. Whoever did this clearly doesn't seem to know much about football and/or game of thrones, which also tells us a lot about the person thinking that this was a good way to describe the situation.
  2. "You brought this as "proof" but now you are saying that it is irrelevant. For me it's an absurd claim." I didn't bring it as proof for anything. If one country is forbidden to play at the world cup by another country that invaded it just weeks before, then that's a scandal for me and if that country was one of the biggest rivals of the eventual world champion, then the title loses at least some of its value in my opinion, but we obviously disagree about that one. At least we agree that the first italian win was a joke. Is there any proof for german doping? If yes, then this would also make that world cup a joke. I didn't know about the brazilian scandal and i never claimed that i did know about all world cups, but good that you brought it up, because it means that Germany should be tied first place in world cups together with Brazil. In the end the essence of this discussion is that world cup wins from 80 years ago don't really have much relevance, because it was a completely different game. Italy won only 2 world cups after 1938, noone in his right mind would put them on the same level as Brazil or Germany. Margaret Court won 24 slams, but noone seriously considered her as great as Williams or Graf, because she won her titles in a time when the competition was clearly weaker, the same is true for Italy concerning football, they won half of their world cups in a time when there weren't really any professional league. That is the reason why many experts consider Italy the Maragaret Court of football.
  3. Not if the deleting of comments continues ...
  4. Yes, you need to change your system like Germany did after 2004. You trust old players too much and don't give enough chances to young players + your coach has been very bad.
  5. Italians always had a tendency to be melodramatic, now we can witness it first hand.
  6. From all i hear out of italy right now, you guys all seem to have jumped into a time machine ... way back into the past. It's hard to accept for some that those times will never come back, in football as well as in politics.
  7. No, my favorite is still Italy. They went through the group stage very quiet, as usually, but when it matters they will show up.
  8. The big difference is that Germany has a lot of great young talents and will have no problem to be a contender again in 4 years, while Italy and the Netherlands have been shit for a long time and don't have much promise, that's also why german fans can take those provocations as what they are: An attempt to hide the fact that those countries have become irrelevant in today's football and that it is very likely to stay that way.
  9. Wouldnt mind Suarez biting Pepe, although he would probably get a food poisoning from it.
  10. No, your oririginal point was that those 2 world cups werents irregular or at least one of them wasnt, otherwise we wouldnt lead this discussion. Whether germany invaded austria to help italy win the world cup or not really hasnt anything to do with our discussion. Lets settle this discussion: Do you think that the 2 first world cup wins for Italy were irregular or at least extremely shady or not? Obviously you are trying to change the discussion here, but just implying that german or brazil world cup wins might have been irregular too wont do anything, so i am gonna ask you to provide proof as i did with the italian world cup wins.
  11. Yeah thats exactly how i feel during most discussions on here, a grown-up among children. Lets hope that you guys will grow up too.
  12. Hmmm, you think Austria being forbidden to play by Nazi Germany can't be considered a scandal that throws shade on Italy's win?
  13. I don't remember insulting you or Poleand, so by ingnoring me you won't miss anything. If i feel the need to insult Poland or you i promise to do it via PM.
  14. Where exactly did i write that? You clearly don't seem interested in an honest discussion, insulting me won't help your point.
  15. In 1938 Germany invaded Austria, so Austria couldn't participate at the world cup, who benefitted from it? Italy, the same country that fought with Germany during the 2nd world war, coincidence? 2006 was also a joke. Materazzi clearly insulted Zidane, but Zidane got the red card despite barely touching Materazzi. Now we have VAR, so things like that probably won't happen again, i predict a very dark future for Italy at the world cup, they can't trick their ways to titles anymore, that's probably also the reason why they declined to participate. Interestingly enough the team that benefitted from them declining was Sweden, the exact same team that eliminated Germany, coincidence?
  16. I am very sad about serbia being eliminated, the referee was scandalous! Now guys like Shaqiri are rewarded with reaching the next round, while the serbians are punished, it's very tough to take to be honest.
  17. You clearly seem confused, please quote where i did what you claim i did, otherwise i have to report you for telling blatant lies about me. Thanks! PS: You replied to me at least once recently, do you just feel the need to lie or are you just a person who forgets rather fast? PS2: On sunday you insulted me, then i reported you and your comment had to be deleted (page 239 in this thread) and now you say a) You don't reply to me b) You "never refer to specific users in any way that would make them feel bad ..."? I don't get it, why are you telling lies that everyone can easily find out as lies?
  18. Thanks for the free language lesson, maybe you should try to learn some history. Here is what happened during the semifinal of 1934 world cup between Italy and Austria (i try to translate it from german wikipedia): "The game was decided by a controversial referee decision by Ivan Eklind, who had been welcomed the day before by Benito Mussolini as an honorary guest. The only goal of the game was score in the 18th minute, when several italian players pushed the austrian goalkeeper Peter Platzer, who had the ball in his hands, over the line. Ivan Eklind (the referee of the game) even actively interfered, when he prevented a cross from reaching the free-standing austrian attacker Karl Zischek with a header" https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft_1934#Halbfinale
  19. That is true, one thing that both teams have in common is that most of their players got 2 years older, so maybe that's part of the problem. Another explanation might be that both teams underestimated their opponents. I think 2 years ago noone really expected anything from Poland, so maybe your players felt the pressure now.
  20. I agree, shocking how much plastic garbage german fans produced. Germany being eliminated is better for the future of planet earth. African people never produce such huge amounts of garbage.
  21. I am sorry to say that, but in my opinion your team even on paper isn't better than Japan or Senegal, not to mention Colombia. With the german team there were tons of problems, even the friendly matches looked dreadful. In the end there were just too many problems to compensate: - Löw's dreadful decisions - The whole Gündogan/Özil situation - Too many injured/out of form players - Too much pressure/too little "hunger" In the end this is certainly disappointing for Germany, but since 1990 Germany won 2 world cups, which no other nation than Brazil did, so as a german fan you can't ask for more. It's sad, but after the tournament noone really cares whether you lost in group stage or semifinal, only the title counts for german fans.
  22. Now all our favorite teams are gone. First nigeria, now Germany, what's left for us to enjoy at this world cup? Should we consider France an african team and cheer for them instead?
  23. Yes, basically the same in every match. On the one hand it's strange that they didn't even try, on the other hand teams like Spain or France also look completely gassed out so far.
  24. He has to, although he just renewed his contract until 2022. He is the first german coach to ever be eliminated in group stage of a world cup, there is no excuse. Clearly he couldn't reach the players anymore.
  25. Brazil might have been very well a more difficult opponent for Sweden than Switzerland (if they make it), but i still wouldn't call them easy. I think at best 2 swedish players (Forsberg and Lindelöf) would make the swiss team. Switzerland clearly has more individual quality. Maybe some swedish player will fake an injury, so that Ibrahimovic can be nominated?
