It wasn't Germany or Sweden, but Germany or Mexico. Mexico beat Germany fair and square, so they deserved it. Sweden won 2 matches and lost the 3rd one in the last minute, so despite their rather ugly style of play, they have to be considered the deserving winner in this group.

How is Switzerland rather easy? (I hope that they make it and not Serbia) For me both teams of this group should be eliminated in the next round. In the end none of those teams should play a major role during the rest of the tournament.

1) I think you are overestimating my influence 2) If that's the case, then those people would be even more pathetic. a) How can you base your feelings towards a whole country (80 mio people) on your feeling towards 1 person. b) Possibly those people have no problem with Germany, but act that way to go on someone elses nerves (no need to name names ...), but then those people most lead a sad life indeed, if they have nothing else to do than to annoy other people.

I don't think that Germany deserved to lose, they were the better team, but overall Sweden and Mexico deserved it more to advance, so there is some justice to the final group standing. This result again shows how special Real's 3-peat was. Not being able to defend your title basically never is about quality, it's about mentality and most teams don't have it, while Real apparently has tons of it.

Italy doesn't count anyway, their 2 first world cups were a joke. Let's hope for a first time winner in Belgium.

Congrats to Sweden and Mexico. I am sad that Mexico probably will again be eliminated in the round of last 16, but they only have themselves to blame. The good thing is that Löw and Özil will be gone. There is easily enough potential to regain the title in 2022, the german federation just needs to find the right coach. I hope that Belgium or France will win the world cup. Also congrats to all the germany haters on here, although i will never understand how a person can hate a whole country, you must lead a very sad life to sink that low.

Why do you think that Denmark has such a great defense? France didn't even try, peruvian players couldn't score to save their lives and Australia scored a goal against you, but probably should have scored more. Croatia will be the best opponent you faced so far, their players will be rested and their B team was able to score twice against Iceland. For me Croatia winning by less than 2 goals would be close to a miracle.

It's natural to be pessimistic about your own chances, but for me you are the big favorite with Spain. People say you didn't look very convincing, but in my opinion you just did enough to top the group, no need to waste energy during group stage.

Hearing you say that makes me nervous, because i want Argentina to be eliminated. If they play like africans, they will probably play great and then find a way to choke it away.

I am very sad for Nigeria, they deserved more, but a world cup without Argentina in the knockout stages would feel weird, although they will be chanceless against France in my opinion. Thoughts about the game: 1) For me it wasn't a penalty 2) In my opinion it should have been a penalty when Rojo played the ball with his hand 3) Why only 4 minutes of extra time? 2 x VAR, a penalty, tons of substitutions, argentinians blatantly taking time off the clock after scoring their second goal ... even 6 minutes probably wouldn't have been enough. 4) Why is a guy like Meza playing (who has been atrocious), while guys like Dybala, Icardi or Aguero barely/don't play? 5) What happened to argentinian defenders? I remember that they had world class defenders like Ayala, Sorin, Veron or Heintze not too long ago. Just imagine both Sweden and Germany winning their last game 2:1, then it would be: Mexico 6 points, goal difference of 4:3 Sweden 6 points, goal difference of 4:3 Germany 6 points, goal difference 4:3 3-way-tie: Sweden 3 points, 3:3 goals Germany 3 points, 2:2 goals Mexico 3 points, 2:2 goals Then Sweden would be first and the 2nd place would be determined by drawing of lots. I think the extra time wasn't correct, it should have been more than 5 minutes, as Sweden started with their time wasting even in the first half.

Just imagine Sweden beating Mexico 1:0, then it would be (if Germany wins against South Korea): Sweden 6 points, 2:2 goals (against Mexico and Germany) Germany 6 points, 2:2 goals (against Mexico and Sweden Mexico 6 points, 1:1 goals against (Mexico and Germany) I think if there is a tie concerning points, then the team with the best goal difference out of all games will advance, so if Germany beats South Korea by 2 or more goals, then either Sweden or Mexico will be out. Mexico will try to avoid Brazil any way, so i don't see any chance that they will not at least get a draw. In my opinion Sweden is out if Germany wins against South Korea.

Always luck = ability. Don't worry, the way Germany is playing, you will be rid of them after at most 2 more games.
