Just when I thought it was all over after four months of nothing… it happens again. Went back to the hospital literally a couple of minutes ago. Ugh, this is almost as painful for him as it is for me seeing him in this state.

nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,Denny really tried it,pulls up a week before the world invitational at a NOT AT ALL hyped ramona meet and tried to go for the world record four throws over 69,fourth round effort 72,07 5TH OF ALL TIME,WE FINALLY HAVE A MEN'S DISCUS 72 METER THROW THAT'S LEGAL IN THE HISTORY BOOKS AS A FINAL RESULT. TAKES THE OCEANIA RECORD OFF OF ALEX ROSE. and finished it off wth 71,14 in round 6.i'm soooooooooooooooooooooo hereeeeeeeee for the ALEKNA VS DENNY feud, because i just know IT'S NOT GONNA BE VERY FRIENDLY FOR LONG.

Don't know about the world feed, but commentary here is from our usual guy, that has been doing athletics commentary for 20+ years, so this was the best part of the event so far

This could have been a rival to the diamond league if done right, but this isn't it. It's boring, too many breaks not enough action. It would have been much more interesting as a league, say you get top 32 athletes in every track discipline together. You have 3 rounds or 2 in longer disciplines. So QF, SF and Finals. Essentially how sprints work in cross country skiing. For the disciplines that need longer recovery limit the amount of participants. Maybe you switch it up for some races and you do 1v1 like the Warholm vs Duplantis thing. That would provide constant action without breaks. But the biggest issue for me is no field events. I hope Coe sees this failure and realises how important they are. I also hope he stops trying to reinvent them with new rules every year.

Yesterday I watched the races on TV before falling asleep (and I must say that the sleeping effect of the event worked), in addition to a depressing atmosphere, there was a 10 to 15 minute break between races...
