  10. I have one more suggestion, or more like an idea. During the last two Grand Finales I was thinking that the one thing missing is a table showing the progress of the voting, how the ranking changes. After I made that table for the TISC "overall ranking" I realized that it sort of works for this as well. I have added point gaps between each country to show... well, the point gaps. This is only just a "prototype table", using the results of the first session of Annual 2020. I am not sure if this would be useful or not, or if it's worth it for the host to mess with yet another table when they are already busy with the scoreboard and many other stuff. I guess it can be just a thing that gets posted at the end of each session. Or it can work as a replacement of the Provisional Top5 ranking (but it's certainly takes more time to make this table than the usual Top5 one).   11. I was thinking about calculating an "overall ranking" of the nations in TISC and show how it changed after each contest, because this will be the 15th contest, so why not. I have decided to just simply use the Eurovision Top10 point system for each year (so the winner of a contest gets 12 points, the runner-up gets 10, and then 8, 7, 6, etc.). The table below shows what the overall ranking of the nations was according to these Top10 points after each contest. As you would expect, the ranking becomes more stagnant as we move forward in time, and a certain nation is almost unreachable after 14 contests with their 89 points, the second nation behind them has 57 points. That's a 32 points lead, which is.. a lot, if we keep in mind that Ireland has a 12/14 success rate at getting Top10 placements. Instead of just calculating the sum of the points I have multiplied the points of the most recent contest by 8, the one before that by 7, the one before that by 6, and so on. So only the points of the last 8 contests count with the most recent contest having the highest multiplier. Why 8? I wanted to go with the length of an Olympic cycle, 4 years. And as you can see, even with this method Ireland dominates. Duh.   13. I have been thinking about something for TISC: did you ever think about adding a prediction contest for TISC? Like, giving every juror the opportunity to send to the host what they think the Top10 will be. And then you can reveal during the closing ceremony who were the closest to predict the Top10 correctly. But obviously this would be a lot of additional work for the host because they are the only ones who can collect the predictions and calculate the results.
  14. Yeah, it's definitely worth a shot to send PMs because we have a lot of inactive users (9 users, to be precise) who participated in the previous Annual edition and they are much more likely to respond to a PM (thank to the email that comes with it by default) than to a mention.
  15. One week left until the deadline... I think we are approx. 9-10 nations short of what we usually have for TISC. Most notably we are missing Brazil, Malta and Greece, they have participated in every TISC so far.   19. What amazes me is that you have a playlist in English. It's near impossible to find songs in English that were written and performed by Hungarians, they never appear on the charts. Hungarian artists either can't sing in English or know that the only way they can get on the charts in Hungary by writing Hungarian songs.
  20. I was actually thinking about how the users who have been submitting songs for Open for many years now are at a disadvantage if they are from a smaller country. This doesn't apply to countries like the US or the UK where they literally have an endless supply of songs that can win TISC. I will eventually run out of Hungarian songs that I like and have a good chance (in my opinion) to get at least a somewhat decent result in a song contest. When I will reach that point, that's when I will start sending some truly weird entries for TISC.

Since I have joined TISC I had the intention to submit a song that represents the Hungarian electronic music scene, and while I was searching for the candidate to fill this role I have decided to go with a song that the peers of this genre of music respect and cherish. The song I have chosen has been called by Hungarian publications as the "Hungarian speed garage anthem of the 90s" and has been remixed by various artists many times. An entire album of the remixes was released on the 20th anniversary of the song's publication to celebrate it. Speed garage is a subgenre of electronic dance music, so if anyone of you are familiar with the genre, or electronic dance music in general from the 90s, I think you would expect a fun dance song from Hungary. Well.... you would be wrong because in true Hungarian fashion "'68" is a somber, melancholic peace of music from Anima Sound System, inspired by the events that took place in 1968 all over the world. I have made the decision to send this song for the next Open edition in 2019, and while it was waiting for a whole year to finally be announced as the Hungarian entry for TISC, the protests of 2020 have made the song timely again. HUNGARY Anima Sound System - '68 Lyrics in English (Translated by me... I tried my best. The lyrics are short so hopefully I didn't mess it up too much. I mostly did a literal translation.)
