  1. Venezuela is not having the greatest qualification to Tokyo. I imagine the recession has hit their sport federations quite hard. It also doesn't help that Pan America did poorly at the 2019 World Champs, only four athletes qualified there vs. ten during the 2016 qualifiers.
  2. Women's Freestyle Quotas - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1
  3. United States with a full women's team. Canada with only two quotas, hopefully we can sneak one in at the final qualifier.
  4. That was a bit scary for Wiebe while she had control she was always a mistake away from losing until the end.
  5. Not the greatest performances by Canada. Still hoping for 3-4 quotas.
  6. You do have "equivalent professional experience" just link them to your site.
  7. If anyone wants to work for World Archery they have a news editor position available. You work remotely. @Olympian1010
  8. Hoping for a Honduras upset, though it'll be unlikely
  9. In terms of Olympic qualification, we have the Pan American wrestling qualifiers and European boxing qualifiers set to begin this weekend. As for events ending next weekend we still have the African Sport Climbing Championships though based on the starting list it might as well be a national championship. No word on the women's handball Olympic qualification tournament though.
  10. For the group all-around the medals went to
  11. still looking for results, but along with Marzouk, Mariam Selim won silver and Lilica Burger won bronze
  12. Looks like Haiti and Honduras (plus their athlete in W +67kg from yesterday) are making a good case for a tripartite quota should they not qualify.
  13. Any idea where the results will be posted? Overall Egypt should be the favourite to win the individual and group quotas. Tripartite eligible nations will also show what they got.
  14. Are there exemptions eventing athletes can apply for? They might need it...
  15. African Championship has been postponed to June as well. I imagine they will extend the period deadline
  16. This will be Zambia's first World competition in the women's senior level. While Chile should be the favourite, I'd still give Cameroon a chance to qualify in the inter-continental play-off.
  17. No, just reading updates from the Zambia Football Association (and everyone's complaints of the lack of streaming ).
  18. Zambia scores the first goal and is up 2-0 at half-time, if it holds they will qualify 4-3 on aggregate.
  19. If one more continent postpones it (and all three are past April 30th) I imagine IWF will be forced to change their qualification rules. Possibly five events with this qualification period being optional.
  20. With Japan qualifying two athletes in the women's competition they will not be awarded any host quotas in the women's events meaning they are all reallocated to the World Qualification Tournament.
  21. I think it's fine. There are enough "World Quotas" to offset any minor favouritism. Asia may win more World quotas than Europe in the lighter categories, but I doubt we'd have a scenario where the 12th ranked Asian nation is a lot better than the eighth rank European nation.
  22. Yeah, at best this puts them into the conversation for a medal. If they can repeat this performance they will likely get a medal, but the best they could do is silver IMO. Germany would need to have a horrible day to not win team gold in dressage right now.
  23. Then I hope the JOC will force the IOC to share some of its media revenue. That would probably scare any nation from ever hosting the event if they are going to lose that much money.
  24. Here's the tweet from the person.
