  1. The Algerian Sailing Federation on Facebook has results Here are the nations entered in each event Men's RS:X Women's RS:X Men's Laser They accidentally reposted the women's RS:X so we don't know who is in the women's laser radial.
  2. Tripartite athletes must participate in one of the 2019 World Championships, the World Cup or the Continental Championships to be eligible for selection.
  3. Does anyone know if IAAF clarified whether the disqualified relays are still qualified to the Olympics.
  4. It's listing China as disqualified. I guess we'll need the IAAF to clarify whether or not they have a spot at the Olympics.
  5. The new qualification system allows up to seven individuals to compete (but they can't form a team). Funny enough if a nation qualifies a team the maximum athletes they could qualify is six. Of course, the chances of a nation having that many good athletes and not qualify a team is low.
  6. That would be correct. This is different than what we saw in 2016 where only the winners were eligible. I'm glad they clarified it, the document was a bit ambiguous...
  7. It's illegal for Canada to win gold, didn't you know that?
  8. It was unfair to have the Group F qualifier so close to the nation's cup.
  9. Olympic Qualification Standings After 2 Riders (worst score dropped) - 0 - 0 - 4 - 5 - 5 - 9 - 13
  10. I'm glad they are allowing more apparatus specialists. Before only the medalists were eligible, now it's possible for up to the top 8 to qualify.
  11. Why Surrey? Does all the shootings remind you of the US?
  12. Nevermind, it looks like Africa was eligible to use the women's K2 500m quota (Asia didn't get it apparently)
  13. Assuming three different eligible NOCs don't compete for it at the Oceania Championships then it'll go the next highest ranked eligible nation at the 2019 World Championships.
  14. While true, it would mean either Tunisia or Egypt also declined the quota
  15. Yeah, the men aren't as dominant as the women. Sure they have a ~95% chance at winning, but a bad game could lead to an upset.
  16. I imagine a country could incentivize some of the above to pick the C1 so that their athlete could qualify in K1. It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened.
  17. All they needed to do was add a rule where the quota goes to the event in which the athlete performed best in (then prioritize C1 or K1 in the event of a tie).
  18. Really? I guess technically it says that it goes to NOCs which have qualified to the road race (which France has fulfilled), but I think they also meant that they need enough places. France does have eligible track athletes that could compete in the time trial, but they do have strict eligibility criteria.
  19. The top six for the men's quotas look relatively safe (though there's lots of sailing remaining). Great to see Malta still in the running, he'll get another chance at the European qualifier given that a bunch will qualify here.
  20. Only if they finish 13th or higher in the nations ranking.
  21. So looking at the nation ranking France may have to give up its quota if they move up to 14th. At that ranking they would only get 1 athlete quota, but have two time trial quotas (15th place will have to give their quota up to fulfill the continental obligations). That would mean the quota obtained at the World Champs will be reallocated to Great Britain.
  22. will be cheering for and to qualify normally. I doubt two other nations will show up for the continent qualifiers.
  23. Yeah it'd be easier to say top two all-arounds qualify, the next two athletes will be selected in a way that maximizes their team score.
