    Alright, Miho Takagi can retire for real now :P Really deserved champion, really cool to see both Takagi sisters are now both individual and team gold medallists. Unfortunate Bowe still hasn't really had the Olympics she's capable of having.

    I honestly hope the wins bronze in men's curling, because the headline of "Canada fails to win any curling medal" would really, really force a reckoning in how the CCA handles the high performance side of the sport and it might lead to some real change.

    Canada basically doesn’t have a high performance program in curling at all. The expectation is basically that it will just sort itself out.

    Ya the point is it’s not arrogance to expect our teams to do well. It’s just the way the system is set up we have like 15 teams in the top 30 in the world, which is not helpful in events like the Olympics where you can only send one team.

    I don’t care if it’s the worse tie-breaker (it is). Domestic rules and conditions should match the international ones. We are at a disadvantage when domestic competitions use different rules.

    Curling Canada needs to implement this rule too. Canadian teams are always among the worst at it, and they need more practice in situations where the DCS matters. Frankly curling Canada also needs to set up the stones the same way the WCF does, too.

    For the second time in a row fails to make the playoffs in women’s curling. Fundamental change to how the sport is run in Canada has to happen ASAP. We just aren’t competitive in curling anymore (forget not being the best), and that’s not acceptable given we have more than 90% of all players in the world.

    Trump would not miss the opportunity to hold a “big, beautiful party”. Also remember when you were convinced prime minister O’Toole would lead to boycott the games? How did that work out?

    This now ties 's record for most gold medals and most medals, btw. So just one more gold (or two more silvers) and these will be unquestionably the most successful Winter Olympics ever for Sweden.
