    Incredible achievement by Nemour. Richly deserved.

    Some things we need to keep in mind about Nemour's medal: She's actually and European, not and African. So this doesn't really count as an medal. And anyway, athletes aren't here, and they dominate the uneven bar, so this is actually a bronze medal, not a gold medal. (None of the above is in any way serious, it's just my impression of what a certain user would say if Nemour represented any country other than )

    Nightmare Olympics for the host in women's football, they just never looked good all tournament. The small remaining hope of Marta getting her long deserved gold medal continues (even though I really don't think Brazil should play her xD )

    My conspiracy theory is that golf was added in the Olympics to ensure the Golf Channel is forced to show the Olympics instead of some random PGA event :P

    I usually like liberal rules when it comes to who is eligible to win medals, but all fourteen French and Japanese judokas winning medals seems a little bit ridiculous.
