Well just came out of a midterm and caught up with the results... Jesus Christ am I anti-curse this year? Doesn't help that Kingsbury and Grondin were competing when I was asleep, and I had a midterm while all these short track Finals were going on. I guess I do need to start watching or something, because there's a giant dark cloud against Canada when it comes to getting gold right now.

It's sad how Troy Ryan has fallen, once being the hero behind the bench in 2022, to now being responsible for everything going on now. Like I swear the main reason a lot of older players like Jocelyne Larocque and Natalie Spooner are still on this roster is because he himself wants them there, and I can confirm his influence on players that get picked for the roster is pretty big. Just look at the ice time that gives really, and almost every game the geriatric players get more ice time than the younger players. It's been going on for years now,

Honestly, given what this team is going through currently, I'm ok with any result as long as we don't play so bad to a level that it's genuinely concerning.

Well I mean a lot of our expected many chances will have to come later as I'm sure we all know. Like all our chances at medals today and honestly yesterday as well were really long shots. I can only hope this will not be the case, but god forbid that our recent Summer Olympics success does not have to come at the cost of success at the Winter editions...

Maybe I'm being optimistic but I think our chances at a medal in the figure skating team event are higher than all of us thinks it is? But we'll see how it goes.
