I don’t love Brazilian soccer because of frustation, but I’d rather see any other team in any given tournament progress instead of Mexico, given that they have shown more merits than “El Tri”.

On the other hand, I’m one of the guys who dislikes Mexicans’ love for Brazilian soccer, as a proxy because of our own frustrations.

Keeping my mind free of nationalism, I must say that the arrogance of Emilia Perez and their PR's is just that, arrogance. It lacks a good script, the music is no better than musical parodies from bad sitcoms, and the performances suffer as a result of that, probably Saldana being the acceptable one, but far from deserving a Best Supporting (or Best Actress as other would argue) nomination.
 
That being said, I didn't expect much from the politically correct Hollywood community; they wanted to put a transgender person on the spotlight, yet when said person turned out to be a piece of shit human being (there's no proof to the contrary, Gascon has always been an arrogant asshole, even before her gender reassignment), every other participant of this mockery of good cinema and of true representation and visibility has quickly try to save their own flesh. Pathethic.

On the women's side, France and Sweden also won the WC before, although yes, in recent years the US has been dominant in both genders.

Ha habido poco para despotricar con esta delegación olímpica mexicana (digo, lo de Azcárraga fue penoso, pero no se esperaba nada de ese grupo), pero hoy sí hice dos corajes.
 
Primero, que el grandísimo esfuerzo de Alegna González haya sido sin premio de medalla. Esperaba algo más de Ever Palma, tomando en cuenta que estaba descansado.
 
Segundo, la falta de concentración de Daniela Souza, que regaló un combate que tenía ganado, a pesar de su mala estrategia (sobre todo su pasividad en el primer round). Encima de eso, le echa la culpa a la juez, a sabiendas de que era quisquillosa.

People in  are going crazy for the winners (I can't wait to see how the names "Adriana" and "Jean Pierre" climb on the list of most common names for babies in 2024, )
 
Already there are songs and poem written about the medalists, the government and private sector had stated congratulations to both medal winners.
 
Businnes all over the country have stated gifts for the medal winners: 1, 3 and 4 years of food at restaurants, 1 year free gasoline for Adriana, free flights all over the country, spa, nails, hair services for free mostly for Adriana, hehe. Even people on radio saying that they will cook the Christmas tamales for both winners for free, or free "tuk tuk" rides from one moto taxi owner in a small town. People are happy, you could see it on the streets and listening to conversations about it. Happy news are good for Guatemalans right now.  I hope all medal winners get that treatment in their countries, or at least at their cities or towns. 
 
No word yet about how much the medal winners will get as a cash reward from Government and NOC. Will see.

Uy creo que Verde se la creyó antes de empezar, pero no como me hubiera gustado. Vi la pelea y la verdad es que corrió con suerte que en el primer round dominó muy bien al mozambiqueño, pero la verdad es que al final, parecía cansado y de eso se aprovechó su rival para crecer y a poco de darle vuelta a las tarjetas de los jueces.

Mañana inician su camino la mayoría de los arqueros, hoy Bruno Martínez no pudo hacer mucho contra su rival de primera ronda; creo necesitan trabajar en conjunto con el entrenador de las mujeres, para que puedan crecer y volver a poner al equipo masculino como un contrincante de peso.
 
También mañana comienzan el equipo ecuestre, que me gustaría llegaran a la final por equipos, ya que por medalla la veo difícil después que no contemplaron a Nicolás Pizarro, que ha sido el mejor en el ranking durante el último año. ¿Creen sea decisión netamente del entrenador o ven la mano de la familia Azcárraga y la familia Hank? Los leo.
 
Por último, habrá que estar pendientes de Ancer y Ortiz, que si bien no la están pasando bien en el LIV Tour, creo podrían ser una sorpresa en un torneo como los Olímpicos, además que veremos si nuestra peleadora en la categoría -50kg puede meterse a cuartos.

Ojala esta medalla sorpresa no sea la unica, al contrario, que sea la del empuje de motivacion y el resto de la delegacion salga a por todas, motivados y claro, sin presión de que no hubiera caido ninguna medalla hasta entonces.
