non credo sia possibile farsi un'idea di quanto mi faccia male scrivere queste cose sull'hockey italiano, ma è la dura realtà di un Paese dove tanti, troppi (per non dire tutti) "addetti ai lavori" "remano contro" per conservare il potere nel proprio misero e miserabile orticello e dove sfortunatamente non c'è interesse di pubblico e media tale da poter anche solo ipotizzare investimenti assolutamente fondamentali per stimolare la crescita e lo sviluppo di un movimento attualmente in stato vegetativo

a me sta bene rivedere il "passaportificio", ma è chiaro che un tema particolare come lo sport di vertice deve avere una corsia di favore, con regole diverse e più "generose" della disciplina generale...si rivedano almeno limiti numerici e "concettuali" della cittadinanza per meriti sportivi...

Come on, it's 2025! Why are we still debating the Commonwealth that ended over 200 years ago or World War I? Lighten up and enjoy some figure skating! 

It comes down to what is taught in Poland about the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Union of Lublin isn't shown as unfavorable for Lithuania as it really was. A lot of the southern territories of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania was "given" to Poland but it was actually stolen by Poles, the Polish language overpowered the Lithuanian one among the elites, the common coin was Polish-based. At one point, the PLC starts to get treated like one big country, with Vilnus as one of the major cities of Poland. The Vilnius University shown as an important Polish university, Mickiewicz calling Lithuania his home while writing in Polish, etc. The whole stuff after the World War One is barely touched in the high school when barely anyone cares about history anyway, I guess most people don't even know it. With this lack of the knowledge, Vilnus is one of the lost Polish cities, just like Lviv.
The current animosities are down to the early 2010s and Grybauskaitė being the president of Lithuania - when there was the increase of the Lithuanian subjects taught in the Polish schools, troubles with Polish surnames, places' and streets' names. The Polish hooligans were also quick to pick it up. To be honest, Lithuania isn't looked down at but people don't understand why Lithuania has the right not to like Poland.

yes,very good relations,we consider them our brothers/sisters,Latvia especially,no there's no historical issues,there couldn't really be any anyway ,Latvia and estonia really only appeared on the world maps after the first world war,while we been present since as early as the 1000.

Not to get overly involved in other country's internal affairs, but Lithuania seems to be a very unfriendly country to immigrate to.

Non cambia nulla per chi ha iniziato le pratiche prima di oggi, e chi non le aveva ancora iniziate di certo non avrebbe avuto la cittadinanza entro il 2026.
