  1. Purtroppo questi non sono eventi olimpici
  2. Here we have a good team and out staff have a goog job, similar to speed skating. It's a pity that in snowboardcross, everything is at the bottom, except for Moioli, because there is a team event in the Olympic program and in snowboard alpine - not.
  3. Bormolini has consistently failed at major events since 2023: he dominates the World Cup, then wins the World Championship qualifications, but is quickly eliminated in the knockout phase. I think this is good information material before the Olympics next year. Fortunately, in alpine snowboarding, Italy has a very strong and deep squad, and even the poorly performing Bormolini is effectively replaced by other colleagues. But let's not make it so sweet, the women's team from Italy is very average and mediocre. What's worse, the Italians, as the host, were not able to force the IOC to add another 2 events - a parallel slalom to the Olympic program (which Russia can do in Sochi 2014), or team competitions, which is why it`s really only 1 event at the Olympics, where we have 6-7 great snowboarder.
  4. Switzerland organizes this World Championships and wins gold medals and I understand that. They spend a lot of money but win gold medals. If they organized the Winter Olympic Games, they probably would win a huge number of medals, including gold. Only in such a case I`m on yes of organizing the Games. If we are to organize an event like in Turin 2006 and win fewer medals than 4 years earlier in 2002, then there can be someone more professional who do it.
  5. I`m very happy that we are making progress in freestyle, but if it doesn`t translate into medals in Olympic competitions, I will remain skeptical about these results. I will wait for the women's and men's Big Air, if there are no medals there I will not have any expectations for this sport in Cortina.
  6. This is non- Olympics event, so so I'm not very interested about it. For me much more important is the team event in snowboardcross, where apart from Moioli we don`t count at all this season.
  8. I mean the total number of medals: we are currently at the level of 12 medals + maybe we will get to another 1-2 (Tabanelli in Big Air and Figure Skating), but it is still the maximum level of Salt Lake City 2002: 14 medals, where there was much less competition than now. Yes, it`s definietly better than in that dark period: 2010-2014, but it isn`t a any revelation. For me, 15 medals, it should be the minimum and even that will not be. I just think that we deserve more, that's all.
  9. This is definitely a country that knows what it wants and how to achieve it, and it doesn't need to organize the Winter Olympics to do it... When was the last time they organized one?
  10. No medals today for Italy and I`m not surprised. I don`t believe that we will suddenly become a super power in freestyle. It is very naive. At the right moment Switzerland or Canada will always be better. The whole winter season for us is weak - most likely we will not even win those 15 medals, at all. Speed skating and Brignone saved us this season, but it's not enough. There are too many failures, 4/5 places and missed opportunities. As a future organizer of the Olympic Games, it looks weak to me. I don't see any progress from 2018 or 2022, and that's probably how it should be? After today's 4th place for Tabanelli, we now have 16x 4/5th places in Olympic events this winter season and it's not a coincidence, because it was the same in the summer. This requires analysis, but there is not much time left - I doubt that anything can be changed in less than 1 year.
  11. I mean, if in such a lottery competition you count on only 1 person, your chances are very small. It's the same in snowboardcross, where for 10 years there's been one Moioli in women's and nothing. The opposite is snowboard alpine men, where we have 4-5 candidates for the podium in giant slalom and someone always surprises: if not Bormolini, then Fischnaller etc.
  12. That's why I don't get excited about the Italians' successes in the World Cup, because then the World Championships come and we're left with nothing - for years there's been one Deromedis and that's it.
  13. Italy, counting on one Galli, has minimal chances of winning medals, unfortunately.
  14. In fact, Italy is in a sense setting the trend in politics, as the Italian Trump-Berlusconi ruled here just in the 90s Visionary :P
  15. Maybe Brignone and Goggia should start competing there
  16. Do you think that Salvini will be at the opening
  17. And so the Italians aren`t danger of winning medals In the women's I used to expect more, but Lara Malsinier is probably a maximum top- 10 place, nothing more.
  18. I think that Ledecka would choose to start at the World Cup finals in Alpine skiing in the USA, which clashes with these World Championships. It's amazing that Ledecka probably focuses on 95% on alpine skiing and still wins with such an advantage in snowboard
  19. If they remove Norway completely, that leaves 4.5 countries that are seriously this sport (I count Japan as 0.5 now), but I hope that won't happen. I prefer Norway to Austria, which was the first to start the ski jumping arms race in the early 21st century.
  20. From Italy only Gismondi shows promise in the future, but I also have doubts, because we have wasted so much talent in the last dozen of yearsOn the other hand, skiers like Cassol, Monsorno, Ganz etc. may be solid, but they aren`t material for the World Cup podiums.
  21. Another 4th place... What`s a frustrating season for us. I'm just curious why France has 3-4 skiers on the podium in the World Cup, despite the fact that it's a country with no tradition in cross-country skiing and we've had one Pellegrino for 15 years? The same with women - Germany, Switzerland, and even now Andorra have great talents but we have nothing. It's not like only Norway and Sweden are successful here...
  22. I think that's how it's translate to everyone - it's the same for me, but I just change it to skier etc. I also sometimes use a translator when I`m tired and I don't want to writing in English.
  23. That's why I like Wilkund, because she's so human: she doesn't dominate and she often has human crises. In addition, she's a beautiful woman.
  24. In Big Air also out Ledeux. Today Flora Tabanelli won the slopestyle qualification. I don't know anything about this sport and I don't watch it, but I can see that this young Italian is very strong in this 2 events: slopestyle and Big Air.
